I would never, ever consider trading for Boozer, unless Chicago was obviously desperate and offered something crazy like Boozer and Noah for Scola and Martin.
However, as an amnesty candidate, he becomes somewhat interesting. He and Scola are probably too similar to have both on the roster, but if we trade Scola, Boozer suddenly becomes interesting at the 4. We would need a strong defensive 5, but we need that now anyway.
What I'm really suggesting is we get someone who can help us in a Scola trade then we could replace Scola's production with Boozer, who should be cheap because he's already getting paid 15 mil next year.

I wouldn't touch boozer even if we could sign him for free. boozer is a player who has been overated from the time he entered the league. to me boozer and scola are the same player. I'm not looking for another scola i'm looking for another hakeem. to me signing boozer would be a step backward.
you can only warn a man that the bridge is out.....if he keeps driving he's on his own

The only appeal would be if he were cheap and we had gotten rid of Scola. Therefore keeping the same talent for less cap, other than that...no thanks.

Yeah, pass on Boozer, lateral moves don't make sense, and it would actually be a step down because he's not as durable as Scola, nor is his attitude.
