I said it was a dream, and I have a reason to think they would be interested. First off, I realize they don't need West, but that is the only way Indiana can take Jefferson. That is why I mentioned they could amnesty him or Milsap. Dally is merely meant to fill the back-up role for Kanter. If they were to amnesty West, that would give them 16 million to play with in FA.
I think Indiana would do it because yes you are putting yourself into some cap strain but its only for 1 year. Furthermore, Jefferson is at worst a lateral move over Hibbert. As for losing West, that is the causualty so that you can gain Martin and Dragic. As I said, there would be some drop-off at PF if Patterson doesn't return to rookie form (West PER 17.84 vs. Patterson PER 11.58). However, if he were to return to rookie form, his PER was 16.88 it would also be a lateral move play-wise with a 80% reduction in cost. The reason you give Indiana one of our first rounders, is to offset this PF lose and help them regain it and build some depth for cheap (perhaps you also throw in our pick from next year or dallas' pick).
Finally, I like the Rockets doing it because you get a young big man that as I have shown is only a little behind where Howard was in his 4th season but has a let better attitude and work ethic than Howard. You also get a return on Martin and Dragic, open some playtime for Morris, and make way for Motie. Furthermore, you have a TON of cap space (36 million) to go resign Lee (and maybe Camby), grab a back-up PG and go after a SG like Gordon.
Again, as I said the sheer size of this makes it not likely to happen. I think Indiana might have the biggest complaint of the bunch which is why I threw in the draft pick (and maybe another). However, I don't think its a terrible trade for anyone.

For what its worth, the only reason I even did that is because I am THAT bored at work. I knew it was a stretch going into the entire thing, but it killed like 2.5 hours lol.
