Why wasn't Josh Smith in for defense on the W's possession with 38(ish) seconds left? Why doesn't Harden see TJ trailing for his personal favorite pocket pass for the exclamation point on their home stand and the win? When he read the defense and passed to Dwight why not call timeout instead of passing off? I take James in the open floor for the win all day and night but shoot that was a critical error.

All those things aside, we're not even having discussion without him though and I won't forget that. I just feel like this kid right now:

99 times out of 100, Harden gets a quality shot or makes a perfect pass. In this case, nobody had a clear path to the basket and Harden saw that in my opinion. Ariza was covered and Brewer darted out to the 3 point line in the corner but by then Harden was stuck in the double team.

It's amazing the Rockets even had a chance to win on the last possession after being down 8 with 1:20 left in the game.

If truth was told, Coach McHale likely told the guys to rebound and run downhill rather than call their last timeout when Golden State called time out just prior to their last possession.

The Rockets need more than 7 points from Ariza, need some offense from Corey Brewer and can someone please tell Josh Smith he is in the Western Conference Finals and needs to show up. I have a good feeling all 3 will play much better in Houston these next 2 games.

Rockets have to tie this series 2-2 to have any chance at all of winning the series.

My reaction? I'm not in a very good mood right now. Harden played brilliantly once again, but he should've drive to the basket on that last play. Yeah I know, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be in that position to win, and writing about it after the game is over is so easy. But yeah, it's a play that can win that game for us. Hopefully they will rebound and win game 3, a must-win game obviously.
