@  jorgeaam : (02 September 2015 - 09:33 PM) So according to TMZ (I know, I know) Dwight Howard had an incident last month in which he took a loaded gun into an airport, but he was allowed to give it to a friend to take it back and wasn't arrested.
@  jorgeaam : (31 August 2015 - 10:45 PM) The Los Angeles Rockets, lol

@  timetodienow... : (21 August 2015 - 07:20 PM) I love having Terry. But the main factor was that New Orleans will NOT compete for a championship this year and the Rockets will.
@  jorgeaam : (21 August 2015 - 03:57 AM) Things that make me like the JET even more
@  jorgeaam : (21 August 2015 - 03:57 AM) Jason Terry said that he turned down a more lucrative deal from New Orleans in order to return to Houston.
@  clydesmoustache : (19 August 2015 - 08:32 AM) A year ago who would have thought I would be so happy to have Jason Terry on my team. Welcome back JET! Hurry up October!

agree.......the non call where D Green fell into Ariza while Curry cuts to the rim for a layup was mind-boggling. I don't usually call out the ref's but?

The initial action showed Ariza putting both arms on Green and "throwing him down." So when Ariza initially went down, I didn't really have an argument. But the way that Green wrapped him up and held him with both arms as Ariza struggled to get away? That was garbage.

I have absolutely no idea where that stat came from. Did an author just make it up? Here is the shot chart for the game:

Probably a slight difference in how the different sites determine "shots at the rim"--which in the first case was likely closer to "shots in the paint" since you can see the 2 yellow zones in the center add up to 26/50 and the original count in question was 26/51.  It is likely one of the 2 misses in the zone just to the left of the rim got included in the paint which gives us 26/51.

Not a big deal, but when talking about shots at the rim they really should be from 3 feet in.

Looking at the left corner threes I can't help but remember those 2 wide open threes Terry missed  :(  I'm used to him knocking those down.

Looking ahead at the rest of the series, I'm trying to stay positive about Dwight's knee....really, really trying....I hope he is playing possum again.

Half the shots on the chart I posted are not "at the rim", but within, like you said 3 or so feet. I already put the series down to the Warriors in 6, so I guess the Howard injury does not change that much. The Rockets with Bev and D-Mo out were already wounded going into the playoffs. Realistically that is two of Houston's starters. McHale has been pulling rabbits out of his hat all season. But to me it looks like he is out of rabbits. And out of hats.

If Howard is out, the Rockets have no chance.  The small lineup may win a couple games on guts alone, but there is no way they can win the series.  It would be like the 2009 Rockets who lost Yao Ming then took the Lakers to seven games.  Trivia question: does everyone know the one player that was a member of that team who is on the roster today?

The one and only Mr. Dorsey of course! I think we can still beat this team. Howard is great, don't get me wrong, but you can't fight destiny. This team just has the feel of a team destined for greatness.

Yeah I keep thinking of those two shots and the Josh Smith bobble at the end of the game.

I feel like we had just a few too many ill-advised drive-and-dish attempts without really aiming. Passes don't have to be no-look to be good passes. If they don't get there, flashy/sneaky gets you nothing. Harden is a big one. Jones and Smith don't have the same hands as Dwight.
