@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.

@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
@  Mario Peña : (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
@  majik19 : (12 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) i just saw a post wishing Yao Ming a happy 35th birthday... am I the only one whose mind is blown that he's only 35?

@  jorgeaam : (08 September 2015 - 12:21 AM) Love it how Hinkie and Morey always target the same players, but hoping he isn't another Covington

New post: A glance at the Houston Rockets' schedule for the week of February 22 through February 28

Houston should take two out of three this week, with pushovers at home against the Timberwolves and Brooklyn.  But if there's one other certainty additional to death and taxes, in life, it's that the Clippers will beat Houston, regardless of the circumstances or venue.  Even without Blake Griffin, in the teams' last matchup, DeAndre Jordan had his way against the Rockets' undersized frontline.  I don't know what else to say, really, except to hope these two teams don't meet in the postseason.

For all the gloom and doom surrounding Houston's recent slump (6-4 in their last 10), there they are sitting in third in the conference.

As for the other usual portion of this discussion, with the Suns dismantled, and Oklahoma City gaining its legs, the Rockets will be picking somewhere in the lottery this June, having not made use of that asset last week.  Even if the Thunder overtake the Spurs, things are shaping up to feature the most epic 1-8 matchup in history.

Should be an incredible playoff season for the Western Conference......any team can find themselves bounced in the first round. I just hope we beat Dallas if we face them.

Worth pointing out that the way the standings are right now is pretty much perfect for the Rockets. As is we avoid the Warriors, Clippers, Thunder and Blazers (the four teams I'd be least confident playing in the post-season out of the field) until the conference finals. Hope it stays approximately this way! No doubt there'll be plenty of twists and turns before the end of the regular season though...

It's insane to realize that the "reward" for getting the 1st or 2nd seed is a first round meeting with either the Thunder (who will come in with a huge chip on their shoulders and quality playoff experience under their belts) or the Spurs (no explanation necessary).

Yeah that's a curse! Remember several years ago when the Spurs (#1 seed) got the Grizzlies for the #8 seed and the Spurs went down in the series..

It really is a wild, wild West...
