@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.

    They don't have cap room unless they find a taker for Lin/Asik. That sounds like Alexander wants/expects them both gone.

    He actually said, "We're going to have cap room to bring in a terrific free agent"...which could mean a trade....it could just mean a mid-level guy like Ariza (although I doubt it will be him as he is going to garner a big payday from somebody)....I don't think this points directly to Rondo/Melo...but it doesn't exclude them either

    Gotta give it up to Mr. Alexander, not settling for anything but a championship... Great words to hear starting the offseason off

      I don't see Morey making the same mistake twice on Ariza.

        They could opt for a trade for rondo of lin, 1st, parsons, give or take fillers/2nd round sweeteners, sign Ariza who might take a slight pay cut, and then IMO should use the MLE on James Johnson and go after Elton Brand for veteran minimum.

          @Steven

          I disagree. if the Rockets sign Ariza they will not be asking him to carry the star load for the team as they were last time. that's a big difference. Ariza is capable in a six man role, but was in over his head trying to produce star quality numbers every night.

          @Buckko

          if we trade for Rondo you can bet Parsons won't be part of the trade. if we wanted that trade we could have done it at the deadline this year. so it's highly unlikely.  James Johnson and Elton Brand are scrubs. experience scrubs, but scrubs never the less. neither are impact players, just bandages.

          I don't know if I'm excited about Les's statement or not. since we didn't see eye to eye on McFail I wonder if we will see eye to eye on a terrific player. talk is cheap. it don't cost you a damn thing. action speaks louder than words. I'm not buying any beach front property in west Texas. don't tell me show me.

            I keep hearing Melo and Rondo.  Frankly, I can't understand the attraction of those two guys.  Rondo in particular would be a terrible fit because of his inability to shoot.  For those who don't know, Rondo can't hit a three to save his life, and his free throw shooting is erratic.  Can you imagine a playoff game with three 60% FT shooters ( Rondo, Jones and Howard) on the floor during crunch time? Doesn't sound like a recipe for winning the close ones.

              Elton brand and Janes Johnson are not scrubs. JJ actually has a great on court impact for the grizzlies and most wish to resign him but they don't have the cap for much more than veteran minimum which the rockets could take advantage of. Elton Brand would be a great 5th big and locker room veteran. Another very talented big, though immature is Andrey Blatch. I'm either a supporter for rondo or standing pat, depending how much rondo improves his jumper.

              @Buckko

              I tell you one thing that stuck out to me in Les's statement. he said we have enough cap room to bring in a terrific player when basically we are capped out with Lin and Asik on the books. I know we have the full mid level exemption and the bi annual exception, but that doesn't spell terrific player in my mind. that leans more toward roll player. also listening to the exit interviews of the players there seem to be a general theme to focus on team togetherness. several players made reference to not all players being on the same page, that some players had separate agendas. my guess is we may be about to see a major roster move..........at least that's what I'm hoping for

              probably Asik for starters followed closely by D-Mo. both have stuck out like sore thumbs this year because they were upset about playing time

              If someone wasn't upset about lack of playing time then that person is a waste of a roster spot. Asik was the reason we were in the series in the first place.

              Mmmmmm, this one's tricky....we could speculate on just about every player.

              Dwight wants to establish that he is a dominant post player hence his reluctance to run more pick n roll

              Harden is trying to establish himself as a league MVP and true alpha dog (on offense at least)

              Parsons working towards that contract extension and trying to prove he has taken the next step so that his agent has ammo to take to Morey and negotiate with....plus focusing on his "brand" to the detriment of his game.

              Asik obviously....

              Until someone comes out and says something I'd avoid presuming it was any of these...or it could have been all of them...who knows?

              Last season, I would have said yes.  Now, I think they both get it and know the odds are slim that they play their careers together.  I think as long as whatever trade is a win-win it will be fine.  If the Rockets let his contract expire and don't offer to resign him that might be different....I don't know...just guessing.

              @TTDN

              being upset about playing time and being a distraction are too different things. both players allowed their personal dissatisfaction become a distraction to the team.

              @JG

              true we don't know which of these players are guilty in the eyes of their peers, however it appears this locker room is not as harmonious as we have been lead to believe. that seems a little surprising to me. I expected some backlash. the playing time issue has clearly been an issue for this team all year, but it appears the Rockets have been successful at hiding lot more than what we see on the surface

              I mean Parsons is getting a lot of pub and I bet there's jealousy from James and Dwight. Garcia came back when he had offers from other places and got rewarded with no playing time.(Anyone else think this could hurt us when we search for cheap veterans?)

              There are a lot of potential issues and it's all speculation until some credible intel surfaces.

              @TTDN

              I would be really surprised if unfixable problems existed between Parsons, Howard and Harden. I could see Garcia being upset at the way he dropped out of the rotation during the playoffs. Lin has played the role of the good teammate but he can't be thrilled with being unseated by Beverly or the constant trade rumors. we all know Asik wants out. D-Mo is hinting either he gets playing time or he wants out. Hamilton has to be wondering why we brought him here if we weren't going to let him play especially in a contract year. Casspi hasn't seen meaningful playing time in awhile.

              all of these guys can be guilty or select guys could be guilty. still the fact remains for it to have gotten the other players in an uproar.....somebody is guilty.
