@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.

I think we give up to much in that trade. We lose ALL our frontcourt depth and casspi and demo with lin have basically been our entire bench unit lately.

Marc Spears from Yahoo Sports "While Houston would love to trade Omer Asik, a source said it won’t trade reserve Jeremy Lin due to the scoring value he brings."

      Damnit!

Honestly lin can be a bit of an X-factor in the playoffs. My personal prediction lin will not win the 6MOY but will make a statement and win it next season. Note, if you know or not, I am a rocket fan not a Lin first fan however I do enjoy him and think he will be a benifit to the rockets even with a bit loaded contract. 2nd prediction, lin will resign for a few million less.

Why would he re-sign when he knows he can start somewhere else?

The only reason I can think of is he thinks ROX will win it all.

Is a big Jeremy Lin fan and was a big ROX fan. More importantly, a huge bball fan in general.

He's good enough to start in the same way Jamal Crawford or Jason terry is (was) good enough to start. I love Lin, but his style is best suited for scorer off the bench, even if he's paid like a starter.

Agreed, plus the chemistry is extremely strong here and as a young, smart guy like lin, you want to be somewhere comfortable and on a contender. Parsons and lin live in the same apartment complex for a reason.

With NY going after Teague (Lin stays)....but a while back I heard rival Executives believe Houston has an Asik deal with Boston for Green whenever we wish. I would go Avery Bradley PG/SG offRtg 101.3 DefRtg 100.7 36%3P 76%FT 43%FG 4 reb 14 pts ( shoots 41% from right coner 3)
Bass- PF-8 seasons-6 playoff yrs 11 points 6 reb 48%FG 85% FT. Due 6.9 mil next year. I expect Parsons to get 20 pts a game and TJ 15 points a game next year......so no need to pursue another starter in the offseason. Lins contract prevents us from getting another max contract. Parsons can get his contract this summer. Bradley would be for defense and insurance if Bev or Lin get hurt (they have not been the most durable players)

                C) D12/DMo/Camby(??)(playoff rosters have to be set by March 1st- he has been doing court activities for the past 3 wks)
                PF)Bass/T Jones/Greg Smith
SF)Parsons/Casspi/Garcia (try to trade him to team he will ok trade or waive/buy-out if we need a roster spot)
                SG)Harden/Bradley
PG)Bev or Bradley/Lin(2nd team)........13 players...................waive/buy-out Brewer and AB if we can't hide Covington and Canaan in the D-league.
Camby may not be in the plan. Hope we can add him to the coaching staff. I list Bass as the starter because of exper....but doesn't necessarily have to be that way.

My wife is telling me that she's read on a blog "that's reliable" that the Rockets have received Rondo in a trade.  She says it doesn't say who the Rockets gave up for Rondo.  I don't see such a trade mentioned here or elsewhere, so I'm very skeptical.  But, I'm sharing what she's telling me.  I'd give you the link, but she says it's a Chinese language website.  (yes, she's a Lin-Lover.)

They will trade Asik or Lin. Maybe even both because they need to make room to resign Parson soon. If the Rocket wants a chances for the title this year, they will keep Lin and trade him after the playoff. If they really believe they will win it all this season, they will keep both Asik and Lin. No reason to mess with team chemistry this late into the season.

They don't need to trade Lin or asik to resign parsons. They have his bird rights and can go over the cap.

It is posts like this that I find somewhat distasteful.  If people want to wonder why there is a chasm between Rockets fans and Lin fans--this is a good example.  If people want to wonder why some Rockets fans would be happy for Jeremy to be traded so that he would take his fans with him--this is a good example.

Your post shows zero regard, or interest, in the Rockets.  Perhaps it would be better served, and received, in a more appropriate place?

Of course, gloating is only satisfying when lorded over others so it makes sense that you had to post that here since it wouldn't have the same effect in a more appropriate forum.  Attention-seeking at its finest.  (I'm aware that my acknowledgment only serves to narcissistically feed you--but I wanted people to see a good example of the kinds of posts we are looking to rid this site of)

To tie this into our Lin fan discussion from the front page this would be an example of "bad" ambassadorship.  This information could have easily been posted differently with at least a feigned interest in what this means for Houston.  Instead, this is what we got.  Given what we are trying to accomplish here I am disappointed.  Once again, no respect for others--at least there is consistency here.

Regarding this potential trade---I'll have to wait and see.  If they are shopping these guys together it will be for something very big.  I am very dubious that a trade that big is going down.  For those who want Lin on another team so he can finally be free--I wouldn't get my hopes up for this season.

Every rumor and up to date hype on trade rumblings have no mention of moving either Asik or Lin except for that Marc Spears speculation (based on what - I don't know.)  The only thing I am seeing out there is that Rockets are interested in Dunleavy but that Chicago is not going to trade him. I think everything else is pure speculation and a wild guess at this point...

According to Chad Ford on the B.S. Report, The Knicks would like to get back JLin (Around 28:40)http://t.co/eYD4kkZBAc

@robinlundberg: The Knicks are reportedly interested in trading for Jeremy Lin, which would be a good idea if they hadn't already let him go for nothing.

Robin Linsberg works for ESPN New York and has own podcast, he's legit

OK, well I would like a date with Mila Kunis.  That doesn't mean I'm getting one anytime soon.

They can pine for him all they want.  I just can't fathom Morey trading Lin away for anything they have to offer.

I wasn't questioning the validity of the rumor.  I am sure Morey entertains all kinds of trade offers and makes plenty of inquiries himself--that's his job.  I do doubt anything will come of it.

The Knicks have had reported interest in anyone viewed as remotely available even ridiculous rumors like Blake Griffin.
