Completely agreed. I think we are completely set now at that position. He's a championship caliber small forward if he continues his shooting improvement. Elite defensively, high IQ, versatile, and a sufficiently skilled ball-handler. He's like a new and improved Battier. You rarely, if ever, find a superstar in the second round with the scouting that goes on these days. To get a good starter that late in the draft is a blessing. I think he has the ability to be a starting SF on a championship team just not the best player. I don't agree with the people who say we need to upgrade at SF. If we can get a superstar we have to go after him no matter what position he plays but I don't think we need to go out of our way to find a SF who is going to be a small improvement over what Parsons have the ability to become.

completely disagree. we don't need another battier. we need scoring from that position. in the last game against golden state parsons scored 8 points on 3 of 7 shooting with 5 rebounds 2 steals in 23 min. if we had a star in the middle I could live with that, but we don't. most teams in the league have a good scorer in that position. we can not have all defensive players on the floor. we have to have a mix. another reason we need offense from that position is our bigs don't put up big points(especially when scola is struggling). we can not depend on the guards to do the bulk of the scoring. I don't have on any rose colored glasses when it comes to parson. he is good defensively not great. ball handling is a luxury in that position not a mandate. thats what guards are for. if he can not improve offensively we should trade him while is value is overated.Completely agreed. Thru March 1,Chandler played in all 35 games. After March 1,he played in 30 of the 31 games. His raw shooting numbers are of two completely different players.
In his first 35 games he averaged less than 7 points a game. In his final 30,he averaged 11.5 points/game.
In his first 35 games,he went for 10 or more points 11 times,w/one of 20+. In his final 30 he went for 10+ 20 times,w/4 being 20 or more.
In his first 35 he shot just under .290 on threes, last 30 he shot .370.
In his first 35 games he shot an awesomely awful .375 at the FT line. In his final 30,he shot .687(and in the first two he missed all six FTs,in the remaining 28 games he shot 75% from the line.)
In his first 35 games he had 61 assists averaging 1.7 assists/game. In his final 30 he had 77 assists for 2.56 assists/game.
In his first 35 games he averaged 26 minutes/game. In his final 30 he averaged 32.6 minutes/game.
(Parsons increased his minutes by a bit over 25%,but increased his scoring by 64% and his assists by 50%.)

Any idea how much this was of taking different shots or receiving the ball more? It's a pretty incredible increase regardless.Chandler Parson's two seasons,or fun with numbers.
