Chase was just awful today while Williams put in 13 points off the bench. I'm really glad to see he's finally getting a chance. I think Williams is the future of the team. He showed it all today - a dunk in transition, a nifty pass to Lee, some 3's. I think for the Rockets to go to the next level they need to unleash T-Will. He's the only guy on the team that can really create for himself and for others - even Lowry really isn't at that kind of level.
I do think he'll eventually crack the starting lineup if he can keep the right attitude. Hopefully it doesn't fall apart for him like it did in New Jersey.

The only problem with Williams today was how clueless he was when he had to shoot once he drove inside the arc. He reminded me of a weaker Ron Artest when he drove - not a good thing.

For someone with such smooth handles, it is pretty surprising how much trouble T-Will has scoring inside the lane. It seems that the only things he can do are pass and shoot, but he can't really score off the dribble. The only problem with Williams today was how clueless he was when he had to shoot once he drove inside the arc. I didn't see Bud as terrible... He didn't get many touches and followed the team plan with discipline. My fear with Terrence is that he may not make anyone else better when he is on the floor. If McHale includes Bud in the game plan, I prefer his game at this point. T-Will will have to produce more than one game before I want to see him become a starter for even one game. He is so emotional that if he starts once and doesn't continue as the starter, he may return to last year's head-case...

We need to start Williams because then he can at least guard the other team's best wing (this statement is relative to having Martin or Bud guard the other team's best wing.) Then Bud can provide a spark off the bench - let him, Lee, and Dragic get out on the run.

I personally think its just a matter of time before T-Will is in the starting lineup. I think Bud started just to maintain continuity and seniority in the opener. Even with a new coach, it probably sets a bad precedent to just come in and change things up drastically and demote guys without giving them a chance to keep their job.
T-Will makes a lot more sense in the starting lineup with his defense, rebounding, and passing. Bud's shooting is better suited for a spark off the bench.
