@  majik19 : (13 October 2015 - 09:09 PM) Apparently we claimed Arsalan Kazemi off waivers from the Hawks today... yet another undersized (6'7") power forward for Morey's cupboard.
@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK

I watched all of the media day talks from the players and 2 of them stood out to me.

http://rockets.clutc....dwight-howard/

Asik's interview was of special interest to me. I wanted to see what his attitude would be after all the changes this summer. He sounds like the Rockets put a gag order on him. he did not seem overly excited like the other players. you have to be careful from drawing to much from interviews, but the general vive I got from him is he still wants out. he is not happy, but willing to do his job. I am even more convinced after that interview he will be moved.

the other interview I could not find a link to for posting purposes. however only one sentence stood out from the interview to me..............Howard when asked how he felt about the young talent on this team immediately reference T-Jones as someone he had been impresses by. Yes he also mention Lin, but lets not spoil the moment  this makes me believe T-Jones has done some outstanding work this summer.......I can't wait to see him on the floor

I am not sure if you can read much more from this clip than Asik is a player who loathes talking much at all and detests even more his press responsibilities which I can't blame him about.

Asik has never been charismatic by any means so I don't put a lot of stock in his interview. But I can't blame him if he is upset he put in a very good first year as a full time starter and now he's back on the bench for reasons beyond his control.

I want Asik to stay if only to challenge Howard for minutes. We don't want the Lakers version of Howard, we want a better version. Some competition can only help.

I listened to an interview with him where he was up against a wall taking questions.  He is definitely on his way out.  Not because of his attitude, but the content in his answers was very much dismissive.

Did you catch the chuckle when they asked him about taking more jump shots?  The guy obviously doesn't work on his range.

I saw several videos of practice from the first day of camp...........none of Asik. I even saw one clip of Harden working with Dream with D-Mo and T-Jones watching from the side, but Asik is nowhere around. I know he was at the practice, but nothing on him. I'm starting to get that feeling that something ain't right. I was really looking forward to watching Asik work with Dream. I smell a trade coming. say what you will, but I'm starting to get that trade vive.

What RBF said is quite possible, however, I think not too many ppl were doubting that Asik is been shopped or not. It is actually the same old question they are thinking," what can we get for return?".

I believe I saw Asik was on bench watching Dream and Howard working on post move. Interesting thing was Harden and D-mo got lessons from Dream. Why not Asik?

Asik had left practice early with a strained calf on Sunday.

As far as the Saturday interview, I wouldn't read too much into it.  He's incredibly shy and hates talking.  He'd never make himself available postgame last year (even though its required) and the one time I did catch him, before the game, he just smiled and replied one or two words to each of my questions.  He could definitely be on his way out, but the interview he gave isn't proof.

Thanks for the update on Asik's calf. I completely agree with what you wrote Rahat. It's training camp and the press that we fans get is just a small window into the on goings within the Rockets' organization.

I like Asik a lot. He is only Rockets player to start all regular and playoffs games last year. It is a strange feeling we are talking about his potential trade.

I think we have only four-year-window (Howard's contract term) to win championship. And we got to go against top teams with stable rosters for years.

We don't have much time to reset the key pieces. So, Morey should make a trade sooner than later.

Which is why you should totally root for us to make the finals with Asik as a major player ;) the pre game interviews may top Greg Popovich's last year in terms of answering long questions with yes/no.

You are correct Cooper. He got a 4 year max extension with no 3rd year player option. He is going nowhere.

                  http://probasketball...marcus-cousins/

Now back to Asik, I think the best case scenario is that he stays and contributes mightily to a deep run that takes the Rockets to a tough loss in a 7 game series in the Western Conference Finals. Asik proves himself invaluable throughout the season when he allows Howard to properly heal from minor injuries after the All Star break.

I too would really like Asik to work out. I just don't believe he will. granted he is a reserve player. but he seems to me to be genuinely hurt by the acquisition of D-12. can he recover? I don't think he will. sure he will go through the motions......he's a true professional, but may leave us no option but to move him. I finally seen some video of him working out and it was only him.........no other teammates around......no Dream.....no McHale........no one else. he may be sulking right now......it still remains to be seen if he will snap out of it, but I gotta feeling something ain't right
