@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.

@  Mario Peña : (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.

According to sources, Nene, Chandler and Gasol all set their early asking prices in the neighborhood of maximum-contract territory, starting at $14.8 million for Gasol, $17.7 annually for Nene, and $20.7 million for Chandler. There is plenty of crossover in their respective lists of salary-cap-friendly suitors, with the Nets, Rockets and Warriors appearing to be the hungriest shoppers, and the Pacers and Trail Blazers strolling the big man aisles as well.

Funny because I think in terms of worth, the order is Gasol, Nene, then Chandler. No way any of those guys are worth those askng prices though, except for maybe Gasol.

I doubt any of them expect to receive those amounts - just starting off negotiations from a high mark.

Rahat - when did you add a forum?

Anyways, Gasol is the head of the class. Nene > Chandler only because of the age and injury concerns.

You put Gasol on this Rockets team and I think they have a chance to win 50 games and be as dangerous as last year's Grizzlies. Is there any chance Memphis lets him get away?

Thanks for joining us. This is version 3, but things had been dead through the lockout. Hoping things pick back up again.

Wow that's some outrageous money! Painful to think we almost got Chandler for peanuts last year, this team probably makes the playoffs with him at center protecting the paint. (And no title in Dallas, icing on the cake.) I guess another year of 6'6 Hayes in the middle?
