Using the handy-dandy Strat-O-Matic, Marc Stein and John Hollinger performed a computer-generated output of the foregone Rockets-Jazz game that should have taken place last Monday, November 1, 2011.
The result was ugly. Despite Luis Scola's 13 points and 15 rebounds, the Rockets were convincingly stifled by the hosting Jazz. Kevin Martin scored a game-high 25 points but failed to register a single board and shot a paltry 35% from the field.
The Jazz were mostly in control, leading by as many as 28 points at the start of the fourth quarter. The duo of Al Jefferson and Devin Harris led the way with 26 and 22 points, respectively. Surprisingly, Paul Millsap was held to four points. Kudos to Chuck Hayes.
Not really the debut Kevin McHale had in mind. Rookie Marcus Morris scored two points in 17 minutes of action, Goran Dragic wilted with a plus/minus of -18, and Hasheem Thabeet played a grand total of three minutes. Three minutes.
Way to go, Internet.
