@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.

Do not let the modest point per game fool you; Lin can score, and he can do it on anybody. Lin has a very quick first step that can get him by anyone on a dead drive to the rim, and that speed is one of the biggest strengths of his offense. His initial speed is better than freak athletes like John Wall at 13.93 mph, and his top speed of 18.85 mph exceeds that of Kyrie Irving's 18.75 mph.

Despite a still somewhat limited offensive arsenal, Lin can put up points with ease. He is capable of breaking out for double digits in as little as 5 minutes by simply attacking the rim. A significant portion of his shot attempts are short-range shots (where he shoots 58%), with nearly 40% within the restricted circle. He favors the right side, exploding much better off his left leg. If you can get to the rim consistently in the NBA, you can find a way to score, even if your jump shot is suspect.

Lin is also a much improved 3 point shooter. Despite shooting 29.7% for the first 3 months of the season, he finished the year shooting nearly 34% from 3, including 3 straight 40+% months.

Interesting. He just has to make defenses respect his 3pt shot more and that first step will become very dangerous.

Exactly. We better trade him for a 2nd round pick while we still can.

Exactly. Or else Morey will be stuck with him for two years $20M for a PG in the bottom 10 of the league.

Y'all are fools  .. Not a Lin lover, but as we're able to, for once, put forth a truly balanced offensive attack next season, next season will be the one that defines how good or bad Lin truly is. Last season's backcourt-heavy and inept offensive frontcourt really allowed defenses to do not much else but key in on our guards, and with option #1 established as Harden, Lin had a hard time finding out how to be most effective. That being said, now we've got offensive power in the post, Harden should post even better numbers this year and as Lin battles for the 3rd option notoriety against Parsons, he should flourish with the lessened pressure, capable pass-catchers, and more clearly defined role. My guess is he will be a middle-of-the-pack, solid role player and not much else, but, that's all we really need from the position with our current roster.

This.  Until he learns how to lower his dribble (wildly up to the hip makes directional change harder and stealing easier) as well as make smarter passes.  Shooting asg%s would help as well.

I see improvement. That's what you look for. Not what they start with, but what they ended with. He got a bad rep from the playoffs but he had a chest injury which makes it hard to do what he is supposed to do, shoot. He was a 40%+ 3pt shooter last 3 months and statistically he is a far better facilitator than harden and has a better assist/turnover ration. I'm a numbers fan not a Jlin fan, because numbers never lie and they say we would be much better if lin actually controlled the ball much more. He is also chinese so you know he will keep improving dramatically. Not to mention him being able to PnR with Howard and the rockets keep adding more shooters. I see lin at 15&8 at the 4th option.  Be positive, he is also vital to the chemistry of this team. If you were to say who is the core of the chemistry him and Parsons.

Lin did not live up to linsanity and that disappointed many, but they refuse to acknowledge what he started with, recovering from a knee injury which is hard on a shooter, new coach, new system, new team, and basically new position because he always play SG before. That's a lot to overcome man. But he did and he improve drastically from being a below 30% 3pt shooter and averaging 10 pts to being a 40%+ 3pt shooter and averaging over 17pts. Tell me you don't like those numbers and he has an entire summer to improve even more.

true I do see improvement in Lin. however he is so far from being a good PG we should look else where. numbers don't lie, but they can be misleading especially when you only pull out the ones to help your case without putting the bad ones up as well. you can give Lin all the excuses you want to......just don't expect me to join in because they are unacceptable to me. sorry I don't share you positive out look on Lin. the man will be a decent backup one day, but that's about it to me. the thought that he will improve simply because he is Asian is so far out of bounds I'm not even going to address it. fact is none of us know if this kid will be able to fix any of the flaws in his game. some players work on this for years without improvement. also believing that a Lin less locker room will somehow turn into a war zone is ludicrous. chemistry can be had with or without Lin. it's not contingent on Lin

Lin has a great attitude and he had a 4.2 at Harvard, not a school I'm too fond of, but still he's a smart kid. I will respect your opinion but I have to say you are in the minority especially since the #s are on Lin side and Morey is always on the # side.
