Camby as the old veteran presence?

Should the Rockets bring on Camby for some older veteran guidance? Would Camby help with Howard and Asik? What else could Camby bring to the Rockets?

We have Dwight, Asik, and Smith already so I don't see Camby getting any playing time. If we want veteran presence in the locker room then we should just hire a veteran as an "assistant coach" where he won't take up a roster spot--I'm sure we can think of somebody.

Camby is the definition of washed up. I'd rather get Miller. He's got two rings and can give Harden/Howard insight as to how two stars can coexist.
I disagree.......Camby was injuried for most of last season. besides some bigs age better than wing players. now miller is like the Grinch.....I wouldn't touch him with a 39 1/2 foot pole

I'm looking forward to another veteran big helping our enormous youngins. He will honestly just be there for insurance, Veteran presence, and help teach rebounding and defense. Also we will have enough roster room because Herinquez(I just murdered his name) Young, Cannan, and Covington are all going to the D-league this year to see what they can do with them in future seasons but do not expect any of them to be even in the reserves this season so that's why they are filling out their bench with valuable veteran experience. I honestly think they are just throwing bait out for mike miller to see if anything bites.

If you did touch him with a 39.5 foot pole you would probably injure him for 2 months

The faith people put in Camby astounds me. I watched him in NY. I'd rather see the roster spot given to a player who can be developed into a backup C for when Asik leaves in 2 years(or is traded). It's much more expensive to overpay in free agency than to develop your own. Orlando did with Gortat.

if you watched him in NY you didn't see much because he was hurt most of the year. Camby still has some left in the tank.......after all he's been resting for a year as for giving the spot to a young big who we can develop........exactly who did you have in mind? everybody and their mama's are looking for bigs who can be developed........so unless you know of some prized hidden gem that really isn't an option as for as I can tell.

That's whats so great about the rockets is we have an army of young, athletic bigs with great potential and the means to train them with Mchale, Hakeem, and soon to be Camby with a veteran presence.

good bench warmer and projected to stay there is more like it. if he was any good at all do you think Dallas would cut him considering how bad they need help at that position?

Dallas needed the money to sign Ellis. They are hopeful to resign him.
