[video] Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge on Houston Rockets guard James Harden

The Rockets have the assets and the flexibility to add one more big-name player. Almost unanimously, Aldridge has been at the top of every diehard’s wish list for the next acquisition.  I asked LaMarcus how he felt about Harden and if he could see himself fitting in.

More thoughts coming soon….

Interesting opinion piece on Aldridge from the Portland side: http://www.csnnw.com...value-to-Blaz=1

Interesting perspective. Aldridge could probably bring back quite a haul. We're unlikely to be able to provide an offer that Portland would want without draft picks though, since without him they're looking at something of a classical rebuild. According to the trade machine, Cook, Patterson and Motiejunas would work, but I seriously doubt that the Trailblazers would settle for an offer of that calibre - not enough young prospects there.

Yeah, I agree. I typically don't do that but I thought this was one where I just couldn't hold back from asking, given he's everyone's favorite target.
everyone, but mine it seems

  • Sir Thursday says 1 month ago I'm generally against asking players about whether they'd like to play for different teams, because I feel it feeds into the whole media frenzy paradigm that surrounds big name players in the run up to free agency. The speculation about Anthony, Paul and Howard recently has been disgusting and I would prefer it if it didn't happen quite so constantly. It just feels a bit dirty, you know?

Anyhow, just my opinion. You're the guy with the press pass, so you can ask what you like.

I think this should be the standard question to every superstar that comes through Houston.

Way to grill him. Since he is unable to discuss himself outside of Portland, you should have asked him if he would enjoy his time in Portland more if they acquired Harden, Lin, Parsons, and Asik to start with him, and Patterson to spell him.
