The Rockets’ Youth

I’ve often stated that the team lacks a true blue-chip prospect upon which to place hopes.  But this is not to say the Houston Rockets do not boast impressive youth.  Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Courtney Lee, Chase Budinger, Jordan Hill, and Patrick Patterson are all under 25.  Among these, the latter three still have much room for growth.

How do matters change if the three Wildcats realize their full potential?  Patterson has been described as a cross between Carl Landry and Chuck Hayes and second year forward Jordan Hill could become a Joakim Noah with enough hard work.  One can easily see Budinger, especially in this system, evolve into a high volume scorer.

This blog has advocated parlaying these riches in a deal for some greater talent.  Should the team stay the course and simply build upon what they have?
