A few notes:
- Man, is this team fun to watch or what? You almost feel dirty stating that with the implicit assertion correlating Battier’s departure lurking in the background.
- It appears Terrence Williams is once again out of the Rockets’ rotation.
- Hasheem Thabeet came from the weakside with thirty seconds remaining to graze his fingertips against a Pacer shot-attempt. The crowd erupted. ”He did it!” joked some of the radio guys sitting beside me. It was almost like watching a toddler take his first steps. We were filled with such pride at that moment over young Hasheem’s achievement. Moments later he was called for the foul on another shot-block attempt.
- As you’ll see in the video above, James Posey aged faster than anyone I can remember. Is that grey hair?
- Lance Stephenson sat a few seats down from Posey and I wanted to tell him I had watched the Youtube video of his battle with O.J. Mayo or Sebastian Telfair at like age 12, but I couldn’t remember if it was Telfair or Mayo. From the clip, after a much older Mayo/Telfair ran his mouth the entire game, I just recall Stephenson saying something like “I’m only twelve years old” or something like that. Obviously, you can understand why I did not bring this up.
