Or maybe Chris Bosh hasn’t ruled out the Houston Rockets…

via the Chronicle:

Soon after the ESPN.com report, Chris Broussard went on ESPN to say there are several additional teams that interest Bosh. I heard Friday afternoon that there are “a handful” of teams on the initial wish list, but that the five teams listed in the ESPN.com story were not quite right.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel later quoted Bosh’s agent Henry Thomas (also Wade’s agent) saying he has not given any list of any kind to Colangelo.

My guess is that the Rockets had not made him their heart’s desire without some hint along the way from someone that Bosh would at least hear and consider their pitch.

I have not heard that. Bosh has not shown his hand any more than the other top free agents. (For a guy who tweets what he has for breakfast, it would be nice if Bosh weighed in on this.) But if we hear rumors, surely teams do, too. And if Bosh had given the Raptors a list, Morey could get that from Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo. He would not have to hear a rumor. And he could adjust his shopping list accordingly.

Besides, it is May. Free agency starts in July. A lot changes in that much time. It always does. Two weeks before the Rockets trade for Ron Artest, it was dead. Things change.

Of course, Feigen does go on to say that the Houston Rockets “would seem a long shot.”  But at the least, those of us hoping for Bosh can seek solace in the fact that perhaps, the initial report was not accurate.

I agree also. This is a way of BC trying to drive up the price.

Lebron is going back to the cavs and bosh do not want to play for the cavs

Bosh will be in Houston next trust me on that

Anyone thinking that Colangelo, Bosh, and Morey will be negotiating in public should spend their time answering emails from that lady in Nigeria who says that some prince died and left them 9 million dollars.

In his own way, Bosh has already indicated that Houston would be an acceptable destination. Colangelo wants talent in return for a sign and trade, and Houston has more than enough pieces to make it work. Every needed ingredient for possible success in making a trade is in place. The only way we don't make this deal is if the price gets too high. With the influx of new talent coming in this year's draft, there will be lots of viable players looking for new teams. Houston, we don't have a problem...........

Agreed. The more things come to light, in combination with the nature of the constituents on the alleged "list" I'm beginning to think it's Colangelo's, leaked to Chad Ford to drive up the price.

The best part of "The List",only 1 of the teams has a Center and that's the player who was to be traded for Bosh!

Second best is Toronto making "The List". If he 's serious about Toronto, there'd be no drama,he'd have signed a deal already.

Third, and if accurate, one starts to wonder about priorities-NY,LA,Chicago are the media markets and Miami is known for South Beach.(Those claims the Raptors were done in by partying had the implication Hedu was the partier-in-chief. Perhaps Bosh likes the night life himself.) And so much for claim about being the man-Kobe,Wade,Rose?

Finally we have the agent saying there's no list, yet the GM is saying they were handed a small group of teams. Then the teams are leaked, quickly followed by a revision that it's there is a handful of teams, but the published list is not quite right.
Perhaps it's just me,but it looks like "The List" is Colangelo's and he's trying to get a better deal.

thanks for passing that on ryan.

Here's the article that ran in the local papers here in Toronto:

To be honest, from a business standpoint it makes no sense for Bosh to give BC this kind of list. Why limit your options to four other NBA teams? Bosh is too smart of a businessman to do something like this.

I still think Houston and LA are the top two options for landing spots for him. However, that all changes if he can follow LeBron James somewhere.

Red, are we out of the Bosh stakes? So who now Amare, Carlos? Do big time free agents (now) not enjoy our market? Last time I checked the Rockets were the big ticket in town. Will Bosh's wish list hurt us? Also will it hurt the Rockets in the future?...Call me crazy, but I do not see any "Top" free agent" with Houston on their destination, other than our "Wish List" who happens to be "'Thee" Cris Bosh...

Right now in my eyes, Bosh has as much as chance coming to the Rockets as Roy Oswalt getting 10 wins.
