With the team standing at 0-2, many have hit the panic button. Don’t. Don’t jump ship yet. If you do, you are just underestimating the value of Kyle Lowry to this team. The Rockets, known for conservative spending, thought highly enough of him, even as a backup, to give him almost $6million a year. He’s a huge part of this team and the guy who I felt was the team’s best player last season. Think back to just how different the team looked last spring when he went down.
Wait for Lowry. If things don’t turn around upon his return, then you can panic. But wait on Lowry. He’s too important to this team to simply overlook his absence as a non-factor.
