Come to Houston, Chris

@ChrisBosh

Where should I go next season & why?

I have spoken in depth why you would be a dream fit for the Houston Rockets.

Envision yourself once more in the high post at the right elbow – your favorite spot on a basketball court.

Yet this time, Kevin Martin, Aaron Brooks, and Trevor Ariza, all in their 20′s, surround you, waiting for your next move, waiting to launch 3′s upon moment’s notice – giving you the space you so desperately need.

This time, Yao Ming awaits inside, guarded by single coverage because of the attention you draw.

This time, your friends and family litter the stands.

Come to Houston where you will find a young nucleus ready to contend upon your arrival, and ready to flourish for the next half-decade.

Come to Houston where you will find the best management in the league and ownership ready to spend for the on-court help you need.

Come to Houston and join Rick Adelman, the coach under whom Chris Webber, your mirror image of yesteryear, enjoyed the best years of his career.

Come to Houston where you will join the NBA’s best center, but will still undoubtedly be ‘the man‘, garnering the praise and plaudits you so rightfully deserve.

Make the right decision and come to Houston, Chris.

look at Yao's head to head w/ Dwight Howard. If dwight Howard is so good why is he a liability to his team in the 4th quarter? How many times has he led his team back from a deficit and won the game? He's so good yet its a coin toss whether he's gonna be on the floor in the 4th or not. Yao has more skill/game than Howard and thats a fact. Don't confuse ATHLETIC ABILITY w/ talent. Yes he's a physical specimen and yes he's a freak athlete. Last I checked neither of those pertain to skill.

I honestly believe that Yao, although being a great center in the past he has been injured and will not be able to stay on the court longer than Dwight (Howard) or some less known players like Spencer Hawes and David Lee will be a better all around players than Ming. He will be a up to par center possibly not an All~Star or a MVP or anything but still a great center, I'm not saying this because im not a huge Yao Fan but because a feel that he is not going to be that dominant center anymore.

Now on to the Chris Bosh matter. Houston is the perfect team. He will share the court with Trevor, Aaron Brooks, and Kevin Martin. A group of young players with the exception of Yao. Having players that if playing up to their potential will be great. Although he's not playing with a group of all~stars but will be able to lead the team and teach many young players how to be great players like himself. Houston is willing to give him the kind-of money he wants in his wallet as well. If he stays healthy he truly will be the best Power Foward in the leugue on one of the top 5 teams if he signs. The real question is will Chris Bosh go sign with another team that is building and not filled with great players. Bosh will fit the rockets play style. I believe that the Rockets could be a playoff contender (if not a championship team) that is assuming that the team is healthy.

Although Scola and Lowry are free agents this summer (both restricted I believe), they can still be used in "sign & trade" deals just like for Bosh to go to Houston, it would almost certainly have to be done via sign & trade as well.

They wont trade Kevin Martin for Bosh even straight up. He is probably Morey's favorite player besides Battier. It will probably be Trevor Ariz/J Hill+Fillers or Aaron Brooks+Filler. They cant trade Scola or Lowry because they wont be under contract.

Are you serious? Thats not true. You may get Battier or Aaron Brooks, but dont act like BC has any say in what you get. Go back and look at every sign and trade the Raptors pathetic franchise has been involved in. A matter of fact, look at every sign and trade ever. The team always gets jewwed. I really hope Tor just get Aaron Brooks, Shane Battier (To be bought out), and Jared Jeffries. Then we draft a PG. Id say the deal doesnt even get done though and he just signs somewhere.

Bosh will fit the rockets play style. we need to get bosh to become an playoff contender with Yao healthy

Whilst I can fully understand the fit being right with Bosh on the Rockets, Houston wont have any cap room (as things stand anyway) unless Yao and Jeffries exercise their ETO's which is extremely unlikely. Therefore, it will have to be a sign & trade for it to get done.

If Bosh is going to get max or near max money, thats going to be approximately 16.5m next season (maybe slightly higher.) Therefore, to get the deal done, Houston are going to have to give up at least 13.1m in salary for the sign & trade to work.

I take it the general feeling is a Battier + Scola deal? If so, a lot will depend on what Toronto are willing to pay Scola as he's a restricted free agent himself but to get to 13.1m with Battier (7.4m for next season), Scola is going to have to get at least 5.7m.

Scola at 5.7m seems realistic but Im not a Rockets fan so its a little more difficult for me to judge that.

Is this Battier/Scola scenario the most likely? Will Scola command at least 5.7m on the market?

Not sure we can call Yao the league's best center anymore. Howard has improved his game to the point where it's pretty close who's better on a per-minute basis. And of course, Howard has shown an ability to stay on the court for a lot more of those minutes than Yao.

I am a Raptors fan, and I think this makes a lot of sense, too. Chris is an amazing basketball player, and a class-act off the court. Hopefully we can get a deal done that can send us some of those gritty, resilient Houston players in return. If he doesn't want to stay in Toronto, and it seems like that's the case, I hope he goes to Houston and wins a title with you guys.

Also, Hedo Turkoglu might be a good fit in Houston as well. He was a disaster in Toronto this year and his contract is atrocious, but playing along side a Jameer Nelson type point-guard like Brooks, would fit his unique talents that Toronto could not utilize playing him beside Jose Calderon. I believe he also used to play for Adelman. Just a thought, because he has not fit in well here, and you guys may have to take him off our hands to get Bosh.

In the imaginary scenario of yours, it seems our trade-away would be Scola+Battier+Hill?

It would be Bosh for Ariza and J Hill
or Bosh for Martin & J Hill nothing less.

Never has a city embraced the possibility of a trade like Houston has for Chris Bosh. This is a deal that should happen because it is so logical, and every needed ingredient is present. No state income tax, maximum endorsement opportunities, and future business potential are icing on the cake.

Every effort on the court would be recognized and appreciated.....It's hard to imagine anything that Chris might want that the Rockets couldn't or wouldn't provide. Welcome to Houston Chris, home of next year's NBA Championship!

ummm the above comments seem to forget ONE MAJOR THING. What do we have to give up? Seems according to the above, nothing. NOT happening. If you want Chris Bosh to come, and the list of positives are aplenty, you must be willing to part with one of Ariza, Brooks, Scola or Martin and include Jordan Hill with one of them. If you think for a second Bosh is gonna JUST sign and walk away from over 30 million dollars because he will only get that money via a "sign and trade" NOT as just a free agent signing. So ask yourself one thing. Would you walk away from 30 million. You want him, he's yours but he comes not by trading spare parts. One core player and Jordan Hill. Period.

Delete the line about friends and family before Chris sees it. He said he didn't want to be around them.

This team will be a good team next year when Yao is back, but a for sure title contender with Bosh.

this would be a dream come true.

"This time, your friends and family litter the stands."

Pretty sure I read that this is one of the reasons Bosh doesn't want to play in Dallas.

Chris, I wholeheartedly SECOND THIS SENTIMENT!!!
