So, I'm the Rockets superfan among my friend group, many of whom grew up on them but have fallen away from watching them consistently in the past decade. Several have mentioned wanting to get back into following Houston, but are having a hard time. I'm going to have them over for some game watching parties, maybe head out to a sports bar to watch a few bigger games. Beyond that, though, these guys want to know a little about the team.
I was wondering if y'all had some good starting points for these guys who want to get back into Rockets basketball. Are there some good youtube compilations you'd suggest for the team as a whole or specific players? Maybe some good articles for people who are fairly familiar with the sport, but haven't been tuning in for a few years? What are your thoughts on reintroducing our team, especially for people who can't get to a live game?

Well, In my opinion, the Rockets right now are an inconsistent team, but fun to watch, and the most important thing is....given last game (OKC), on any given night, we could beat any time in the league (remember the game against Miami at Toyota Center? we were close enough to steal that one, and given that it was one of the first games as a new team, we could easily argue that we are a better team that we were back then).
We are not ready to beat a contender in a 7 game series, but I think that no one could wipe us 0-4, and the future is bright if we move in the right direction trade-wise (I assume Morey will keep finding gems hidden in the second round to provide us a solid core of capable players to surround our starters).
Tell them that for the first time in years, we are definitely moving forward and have the ability to improve for many years to come (not the "win now or never" kind of team we used to have back in the Yao-McGrady days)
