@  feelingsuper... : (21 April 2014 - 06:31 AM) Agreed, we just witnessed the Aldridge game. Great players swing games.
@  SadLakerFan : (21 April 2014 - 06:25 AM) Some positives - Aldridge has developed into a great player, but law of averages - he won't be hitting huge threes and scoring 46 again. Harden is unlikely to miss 20 shots again. And even though you live with Howard's free throw struggles, they came in bunches at a critical point, triggering the Blazers' big comeback. It ain't over.
@  feelingsuper... : (21 April 2014 - 06:03 AM) The Rockets seemed to regress to the team they were earlier in the season a little, I guess that was to be expected. I am looking for the team to bounce back of course.
@  feelingsuper... : (21 April 2014 - 06:00 AM) This series will be marked by each team making runs and the Blazers made the run in the forth that completely changed the momentum.
@  feelingsuper... : (21 April 2014 - 05:58 AM) McHale fired, get serious.
@  08huangj : (21 April 2014 - 05:56 AM) When the Rockets were up by eleven, I turned off my T.V because I had more important things to do. Then, after like 40 minutes, I turned on my Mac pro and found the Rockets gave up 122 points to the Blazers and lost. I wouldn't blame the players for anything in the game. I have not liked Mchale ever since I followed the Rockets when Lin came over. I'm not trying to be negative, but he's not a really good coach even though he's a really good basketball player. Any coach that can't lead a team so talented should be fired and ain't very good. Mchale never, ever, draws up place at the end off the game. I don't even thing he has talked to the players of defense and how to prevent a player to get 46 points against one of the best defenders(Asik) in the league. Absolutely insane.
@  08huangj : (21 April 2014 - 05:50 AM) Not surprised if Mchale gets fired for losing in the first round. Really, he couldn't prevent LA from getting 46 points and he wouldn't switch Beverley out when he had a bad offensive game and let Lillard get 31 points. Wow!!
@  08huangj : (21 April 2014 - 05:43 AM)
@  08huangj : (21 April 2014 - 05:41 AM) LaMarcus Aldridge 46 points 18 rebounds: Is he that unstoppable?
@  08huangj : (21 April 2014 - 05:41 AM) Can't believe it.
@  rockets best... : (21 April 2014 - 05:35 AM) I can't believe some if the calls I just saw. Portland played a dirty game
@  rockets best... : (21 April 2014 - 05:31 AM) that's the worse officiated game I have seen this year
@  RocketMansin... : (21 April 2014 - 05:23 AM) Perimeter defense gonna have 2 step it up... If not this will be a quick outing for the Rockets.
@  Cooper : (21 April 2014 - 05:20 AM) tough loss, Harden and Howard started out so cold and Jones/Asik had no answer for LA. Need to bring it for game 2
@  pharmag : (21 April 2014 - 05:11 AM) Well those refs were absolutely awful. I think they decided at the beginning of the game to just call the opposite of whatever the call was supposed to be. The only fouls you can argue they got right were the ones that were too close to call...
@  pharmag : (21 April 2014 - 03:10 AM) Interesting point made by announcers...Rockets haven't shot a single FT. A lot of that has to do with what appears to be unbalanced refereeing imo
@  Dan G : (17 April 2014 - 10:17 PM) That is some interesting news. We gotta get past Portland first, but I like that stat for the next round.
@  feelingsuper... : (17 April 2014 - 12:45 PM) So yesterday during Truehoop TV Amin said the teams that win any season series 4 to 0 go on in the post season with a 51 and 4 record versus the losing team. Hmmmmmm...
@  Buckko : (15 April 2014 - 05:22 AM) Hope we can get him back in the offseason, he was just signed for the rest of the offseason.
@  jorgeaam : (15 April 2014 - 04:16 AM) Bulls release Tornike Shengelia and sign Greg Smith, well, that didn't take long

I certainly hope Harden and co. are showing him all the best parts of Houston this weekend....maybe even do a little house shopping down in Sugarland.

I didn't want Dwight during the offseason, I even preferred to land Bynum (terribly wrong idea), but I've come to accept the idea of landing him. Also, johnnygold has made pretty cool arguments about our offensive approach having this "twin towers" remake. So....let's root for Harden to convince him :D

Absurd JG, everyone knows you don't live in Sugar Land if you plan on driving to the Toyota Center often :P Might as well live in Dallas (i.e., the Woodlands).

D12 could do River Oaks, but that's too old money for him. He's hip and young -- West U is where it's at :P As long as it isn't the Mosaic (silly Lin...)

I live in Montgomery, and I'm at TC for most home games this year. I work just north of the loop, too.

The Royalton at 3333 Allen Pkwy, just outside River Oaks is the place to be. Had a friend that lived there and upon visiting him (this was several years back) I've run into Bobby Sura, and Seth Payne. T-mac and Deke also lived there. Sweet locale, easy to the TC, easy to the Galleria and easy to the clubs. The windows in the units facing downtown are 14' high and 50' long, looking out is pretty sweet, storms rolling in, and traffic copters whirling round..

 that's a good one. I for one would love to see this happen. I believe howard will return to the D-12 monster of old next year. if that happen while with the rockets we could be talking contender talk next year. aquiring howard without having to give away any of our top assets could be considered nothing short of cornering the market. we would be in great shape cap wise, have a budding young contending team and have our stars locked up for 4+ years. that sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah, the beauty of all this is I won't really mind if he decides not to come. I like our team without him and think we will still be able to contend in the near future. Right now it's win-win!!!

true I still like our team without him, but that's the fast track to a championship. that would give us 2 of the top 15 players in the league. we could make some serious noise. also with morey able to keep the pick of the litter and trade away the remaining assets for pieces to fit around hardin and howard........ we would be in the drivers seat.

No joke. If D12 doesn't come, we're still okay, but if he does o.O We would only lose Delfino, Douglas and Aldrich from the current roster. We would keep White, Jones, and DMo, along w/ our starting 5, and Morris, PBev and Anderson. Is it just me or is that not awesome? lol I rarely see a team that is a championship contender AND has a young group of assets they could be developing for a trade/future growth (OKC doesn't count since the reason they were a contender and their young assets were one and the same lol).

Assuming we make the playoffs we won't have a pick in this year's draft (barring a trade). I am ok with that as we have plenty of young talent to develop. Anderson has potential to become our J.R. Smith. D-Mo is on schedule. Who knows where we'll be with Royce???? Greg Smith will probably get a crash course in defense this off-season. If...IF all of this happens we will have a solid roster top to bottom. I know our PG position is in question, but they are both so young....I like the potential of both Lin and Beverley to mature into that position....they don't need to be great...just good.

don't forget t jones....he has been lighting up the d-league. as for as I can see the addition of howard would make d-mo, t jones, m morris, p pat, asik and g smith the players we get to choose from when I say pick of the litter. we can keep the best of them only trading the ones who are unable to fit what we need. my favorite 3 are d-mo, t jones and asik. I would like to keep them. the others would bring a nice package of draft picks or pieces to put around howard and hardin. that is the perfect plan for the rockets (IMO)

Outskirts. Off Keenan Cutoff if you know the area.
