@  RollingWave : (28 August 2014 - 07:34 AM) But yeah, I can understand luxury tax / revenue sharing, but the cap's sole purpose is to help the Owner's pockets and also give jobs to all those captologist
@  RollingWave : (28 August 2014 - 07:33 AM) The irony obviously, sports being the one thing where the US is much more socialist than their European counter part ;)
@  thenit : (27 August 2014 - 08:43 PM) Unless Cle wins 2 rings in 4 years I rather have what Mia has now 2 rings and a likely playoff team
@  thenit : (27 August 2014 - 08:43 PM) That's why I don't like American sports, there shouldn't be any salary cap. It should be like Europe. Hating Socialism except for sports where the whole idea of is to compete to be the best. should be capitalistic and a free for all
@  rocketrick : (27 August 2014 - 11:53 AM) Boring...so which situation is better going forward? Miami Heat with practically no salary cap room after winning 2 titles in 3 years or Cleveland with all kinds of cap room? No wonder LeBron and KLove chose Cleveland. Just saying. NBA Salary Cap is quite onerous in the end.
@  thenit : (27 August 2014 - 02:53 AM) I think it's about right where we should be. We are a contender under the radar
@  rocketrick : (27 August 2014 - 12:42 AM) Las Vegas places 16-1 odds for the Rockets chances this season as the eventual NBA Champion. Only the Cavaliers, Bulls, Spurs, Thunder and Clippers rate better odds than the Rockets. Perhaps too much negativity this off-season in H-town???
@  rocketrick : (26 August 2014 - 11:40 PM) Troy Daniels is more of a SG, too with limited, at best, PG skills. I'm with Rolling Wave, I'd rather have Sessions than Ish Smith backing up Beverley
@  RollingWave : (26 August 2014 - 03:23 AM) Session has about 6x the career minutes of those 5 combined, of course you'd rather have him instead of Ish Smith if you could.
@  rockets best... : (26 August 2014 - 02:31 AM) Basketball Insiders is reporting the Rockets are pursuing a sign and trade for Ramon Session. with Ish, Beverly, Canaan, Nick Johnson and Troy Daniels on the roster I don't understand the move unless one of them will be in the deal and it is a larger deal than being currently reported
@  rockets best... : (25 August 2014 - 06:28 PM) so what you're saying is if Morey does this deal he's stupid? I disagree. we have a thread discussing it below. we can continue our conversation there if your wish
@  rocketrick : (25 August 2014 - 12:18 PM) Morey is not stupid so that just is not gonna happen here period so can we FINALLY just move on now? Bledsoe will sign for the agreed $3.5 million amount for this season and become an UFA next season (for his sake, I truly hope he does not blow out another knee).........
@  rocketrick : (25 August 2014 - 12:16 PM) This is quite frustrating as an avid NBA fan......Bledsoe CLEARLY wants a Max Deal whether that be with Phoenix (impossible in my opinion) or one of the other teams.
@  2016Champions : (25 August 2014 - 12:30 AM) According to Cyberx, Morey wants Bledsoe on a 2 year deal but Bledsoe wants more stability than that.
@  Buckko : (22 August 2014 - 03:31 AM) A logical article from B/R http://bleacherrepor...ext-year/page/6 I'm shocked.
@  Johnny Rocket : (21 August 2014 - 03:20 AM) Thanks for the great links, Buckko!
@  txtdo1411 : (20 August 2014 - 10:13 PM) Bledsoe scares me because of the injuries... that being said it is still probably the right move.
@  jorgeaam : (20 August 2014 - 10:09 PM) Let's go Morey!
@  jorgeaam : (20 August 2014 - 10:09 PM) The Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe, according to Jude LaCava of FOX Phoenix.
@  thejohnnygold : (20 August 2014 - 04:52 AM) That article is a nice change of pace :)

I see this as a trap game. I could easily see Kobe going off for 50 and Nash for 30 and 20 and the Lakers turning their season around.

...well, maybe not.

But I do hope the good guys don't take this team lightly.

With McHale as coach I don't think the Rockets players will ever be allowed to take that team in purple and gold very lightly, especially with Kobe the way he is playing this year. The matchup on the wing between Bryant and Harden should be tops.

Rockets aren't good enough to take any team lightly and hopefully they feel that way as well. Would be nice to get a blow out win but wouldn't surprise me if it's closer than we like.

watching the lakers fall flat on their faces is almost as much fun as watching the rockets winning and maturing. who would have guess the rockets record of 21-14 while the lakers struggle at 15-19. if the lakers don't make the playoffs heads will roll no doubt about it. just shows why they play the games, because paper teams don't win titles.

stoked that we won! pissed the F off I still cant watch. pretty G-- D--- annoying. most exciting season in 4-5 years, it not more, and i cant watch. most of us have shared this complaint multiple times and its become tiresome to keep bringing it up.

anyway, early in the season, i complained on this forum about, "where is this run and gun, high scoring offense we've been hearing about?" but i obviously spoke too soon on that. i guess i should have given them time considering the roster moves and youth. glad to see things coming together sooner than expected!

Last night's game is making me begin to rescind my criticism of PPat's rebounding skills. He was grabbing tough boards like a man possessed last night and that's very refreshing. I know he only grabbed 4 of them, but each one took good positioning and effort, they didn't just fall into his lap. I hope he keeps the effort up. I think he may be one of those guys who thrives coming off the bench, always trying to prove he deserves to be a starter. Make him a starter though and the drive seems it can disappear.

Morris looked absolutely terrible last night. He couldn't rebound, he wasn't rotating on the pick and roll, and he kept leaving Artest open for threes. It was painful to watch early on.
