@  txtdo1411 : (10 July 2014 - 02:16 PM) Me too YaoMan. I'm really hoping some good news comes out today.
@  YaoMan : (10 July 2014 - 02:13 PM) I hope Rahat's worst case scenario does not come true...I'm starting to get a nasty churn in my stomach
@  YaoMan : (10 July 2014 - 02:09 PM) Damm, I thought Parsons would at least wait a bit and look at other possible teams before signing the offer sheet...
@  Drew in Abilene : (10 July 2014 - 04:08 AM) Here's to hoping that Bosh and Parsons are officially signed to Rockets contracts by this time Saturday...
@  Drew in Abilene : (10 July 2014 - 04:07 AM) Free agency has officially started... Hopefully LeBron makes his choice known today, giving Houston time to figure out next steps.
@  QNoir : (10 July 2014 - 12:47 AM) I know the injuries are worrisome, but if you even look at his assist numbers over the sporadic games he has played, they're incredible. The Rockets are like this big amazing body, with no brain. They need a brain on the floor with them.
@  Cooper : (10 July 2014 - 12:42 AM) I would have really like to see how rondo played with last years Cs over a full season. Im just not sold on him as a franchise player type. he's only played 131 games over the past 3yrs.
@  QNoir : (10 July 2014 - 12:31 AM) I'm still big on Rondo. None of those names on your list has a championship. Rondo does, and he actually led that team to it.
@  Cooper : (10 July 2014 - 12:10 AM) Westbrook, paul, curry, wall, pretty much the only pgs you'd think about trading Harden for and they are not being dealt.
@  SadLakerFan : (10 July 2014 - 12:07 AM) I wonder how Dirk will feel, helping to train Parsons who will be making substantially more than him. Yikes.
@  QNoir : (09 July 2014 - 11:54 PM) Wow. I'd match Parsons ... Trade Harden. When I think about what's important for the team, I'd definitely go for ... like ... a top PG in a Harden trade.
@  Fury : (09 July 2014 - 11:46 PM) So, is this a max contract for Parsons? To compare, Harden is making $13+ mil a year on his max. Parsons would be making about $15mil
@  Cooper : (09 July 2014 - 11:15 PM) Got 3 days to make something happen.
@  feelingsuper... : (09 July 2014 - 11:01 PM) Or maybe it means Bosh is joining the Rockets.
@  feelingsuper... : (09 July 2014 - 10:58 PM) So Bosh isn't happening?
@  feelingsuper... : (09 July 2014 - 10:57 PM) Mavs offer three year 45 million contract which he will supposedly sign tomorrow, per Steinymo.
@  txtdo1411 : (09 July 2014 - 10:41 PM) Thanks. I guess I just optimistically imagined that someone had said that.
@  feelingsuper... : (09 July 2014 - 10:24 PM) No set timetable.
@  txtdo1411 : (09 July 2014 - 10:15 PM) Is James supposed to make a decision after the meeting with Riley? Or is there still no timetable?
@  SadLakerFan : (09 July 2014 - 09:07 PM) Hope Lin gets traded to a team that gives him tons of PT - Chinese are paying the highest prices for my old bball cards (they love Kobe and MJ) on Ebay and I need them to stay interested!

I see this as a trap game. I could easily see Kobe going off for 50 and Nash for 30 and 20 and the Lakers turning their season around.

...well, maybe not.

But I do hope the good guys don't take this team lightly.

With McHale as coach I don't think the Rockets players will ever be allowed to take that team in purple and gold very lightly, especially with Kobe the way he is playing this year. The matchup on the wing between Bryant and Harden should be tops.

Rockets aren't good enough to take any team lightly and hopefully they feel that way as well. Would be nice to get a blow out win but wouldn't surprise me if it's closer than we like.

watching the lakers fall flat on their faces is almost as much fun as watching the rockets winning and maturing. who would have guess the rockets record of 21-14 while the lakers struggle at 15-19. if the lakers don't make the playoffs heads will roll no doubt about it. just shows why they play the games, because paper teams don't win titles.

stoked that we won! pissed the F off I still cant watch. pretty G-- D--- annoying. most exciting season in 4-5 years, it not more, and i cant watch. most of us have shared this complaint multiple times and its become tiresome to keep bringing it up.

anyway, early in the season, i complained on this forum about, "where is this run and gun, high scoring offense we've been hearing about?" but i obviously spoke too soon on that. i guess i should have given them time considering the roster moves and youth. glad to see things coming together sooner than expected!

Last night's game is making me begin to rescind my criticism of PPat's rebounding skills. He was grabbing tough boards like a man possessed last night and that's very refreshing. I know he only grabbed 4 of them, but each one took good positioning and effort, they didn't just fall into his lap. I hope he keeps the effort up. I think he may be one of those guys who thrives coming off the bench, always trying to prove he deserves to be a starter. Make him a starter though and the drive seems it can disappear.

Morris looked absolutely terrible last night. He couldn't rebound, he wasn't rotating on the pick and roll, and he kept leaving Artest open for threes. It was painful to watch early on.
