@  Cooper : (06 May 2014 - 02:45 AM) Not an exciting start to round 2
@  rockets best... : (04 May 2014 - 09:21 PM) they wouldn't be devoid of talent, but I think it would be 2 steps backward
@  miketheodio : (04 May 2014 - 09:18 PM) jonas, terrence ross, johnson, and derozan aren't terrible. lowry would be a hit, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.
@  rockets best... : (04 May 2014 - 08:19 PM) the raps are back to square one if they don't resign Lowrey
@  feelingsuper... : (04 May 2014 - 08:06 PM) Spurs look like like they might destroy Dallas today.
@  feelingsuper... : (04 May 2014 - 08:05 PM) Agreed but they got some young up and comers so they have some good years ahead of them.
@  Cooper : (04 May 2014 - 07:54 PM) Tough loss for the raps
@  feelingsuper... : (04 May 2014 - 05:50 AM) Yessss! The Warriors lose!
@  feelingsuper... : (04 May 2014 - 05:07 AM) I want Golden State to lose. I really really want the Warriors to go down tonight.
@  RocketMansin... : (03 May 2014 - 05:58 PM) I agree Tgards79 would rather Mo Williams or Matthews take that shot. Or even would have been fine with LMA getting it and tying the game up.
@  Tgards79 : (03 May 2014 - 05:57 PM) But a Harden should have switched. There was less than a second, a Harden switch should have been the easy answer, whether planned or instinctive.
@  Dan G : (03 May 2014 - 08:05 AM) The only thing I can think of is Parsons thought he would be able to get there in time to block the shot since he has size over Lillard.
@  Dan G : (03 May 2014 - 08:03 AM) That's just it. Because Parsons was on Lillard's right and not left after him and Beverly switched, once the whistle blew, it was a race to get to the other side with Lillard starting out in front and clearly he was able to win the race.
@  08huangj : (03 May 2014 - 07:14 AM) How did Lillard just get free for the three by a screen?
@  08huangj : (03 May 2014 - 07:12 AM) Agreed. Unacceptable
@  Dan G : (03 May 2014 - 07:06 AM) I mean he should have been on Lillard's left and not right.
@  Dan G : (03 May 2014 - 07:05 AM) I now watched the Lillard three a dozen times and I just don't understand why Beverly and Parsons switched and why Parsons let Lillard get to his left and not his right. Beverly had him played well before him and Parsons did the switch. Can't let Lillard have a free run through the picks.
@  RocketMansin... : (03 May 2014 - 06:47 AM) Now I get to go around town and hear S*** about the Thunder every day.... Just awesome
@  QNoir : (03 May 2014 - 06:47 AM) Peace bro.
@  RocketMansin... : (03 May 2014 - 06:45 AM) I am starting to just rant and say stupid crap. I'm out

Hi all,

I'm going to run the Win Total Prediction competition again this year, because I found it fun and interesting to see how people's expectations changed over the course of the season. Hopefully we'll get a lot of entrants! For those of you who are new/don't remember, the format is thus:

  • All entrants must submit a prediction for the number of wins each team in the League will achieve during the regular season.
  • There are a total of 1230 games played over the course of the season, so your predictions must sum to 1230 wins.
  • For each team, you score the difference between your prediction and the number of wins they actually end up getting.
  • To add some spice, in each Division you must choose one team who's score will count double.
  • The lowest total score wins.
  • You will be allowed to make changes to your prediction until the day before the start of the season. I will formally announce the cutoff point nearer the time.

Last year I didn't get around to updating things too often, but this year I'm hoping to find the time to create a little website that will let you see how you're getting on and compare with other competitors. We'll see how that goes.

Please add your predictions in this thread, marking your choices for doubling in bold. The rules about editing posts have been changed since we did last year's, so if you want to make changes to your choices then just add a new post to the thread, ideally with a note saying you've changed your mind. I will take the most recent set of predictions from each user taking part.

Have fun! I'll post my own set of predictions later tonight.

So, I think it may actually be 2,460....since 82 games per team, times 30 teams, = 2460.....

So here goes nothin....

I'm gonna start with the least interesting division and work my way up to the fiercely competetive Southwest...

SOUTHEAST DIVISION

      MIAMI  60-22

      ATLANTA  45-27

      ORLANDO 34-48

      WASHINGTON  31-51

      CHARLOTTE   28-54

ATLANTIC DIVISION

       BROOKLYN  55-27

       NEW YORK   49-33

       TORONTO  42-40

        BOSTON    40-42

        PHILADELPHIA  27-55

CENTRAL DIVISION

         INDIANA   53-29

         CHICAGO  50-32

          DETROIT  44-38

          MILWAUKEE   40-42

          CLEVELAND   36-46

NORTHWEST DIVISION

          OKLAHOMA CITY  56-26

           DENVER   50-32

           PORTLAND  44-38

           GOLDEN STATE  53-29

            CLIPPERS  51-31

            LAKERS   41-41

            SACRAMENTO  36-46

            PHOENIX   33-49

SOUTHWEST DIVISION

            MEMPHIS   57-25

            HOUSTON  56-26

             SAN ANTONIO 54-28

             DALLAS  38-44

its 1230 wins and 1230 loses. So total records (games) = 2460, total wins should equal 1230.

Rockets would have won at least 47 without Dwight based on improvement within alone.

On paper my friend (see Lakerland).  We are going to get into the playoffs as the number 7 seed.  Shock the world and bring home a title.
