slick shoes (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
SadLakerFan (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
jorgeaam (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
jorgeaam (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
thejohnnygold (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
rockets best... (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
Mario Peña (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
majik19 (12 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) i just saw a post wishing Yao Ming a happy 35th birthday... am I the only one whose mind is blown that he's only 35?
cointurtlemoose (08 September 2015 - 01:17 AM) aaaah, thanks jorge
jorgeaam (08 September 2015 - 12:21 AM) Love it how Hinkie and Morey always target the same players, but hoping he isn't another Covington
thejohnnygold (08 September 2015 - 12:03 AM) Christian Wood has signed with Philly
jorgeaam (07 September 2015 - 10:32 PM) If I'm not wrong, he hasn't been waived yet, they have until october 4th to do that
cointurtlemoose (07 September 2015 - 05:39 PM) Anyone else surprised that Kostas hasn't gotten picked up by anyone yet? I wanna see that guy play somewhere
redfaithful (05 September 2015 - 10:48 PM) Llull line from today loss to Serbia: 30MIN 1-10PG, 0-5 3PG, 4-4FT 6AST, 1TO, 4REB, +/- -11
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:27 AM) this dude's gun fired and all he got a misdemeanor at bush lol: http://abc13.com/new...ush-iah/815795/
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:26 AM) theres more articles all over, but the jist is houston (and texas) doesn't really arrest for it, they just recommend you leave it in your car when they catch it. So seems dwight got lucky he was in texas and not cali or the NE.
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:22 AM) honestly we should just be glad they caught it...
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:21 AM) response: http://nymag.com/dai...n_airplane.html
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 01:42 AM) one bullet left in the chamber is diff than fully loaded and ready to go. Still stupid...but not like he was prepared for a shooting spree.

Guest (21 August 2015 - 07:20 PM) At least in my opinion.
Guest (21 August 2015 - 07:20 PM) I love having Terry. But the main factor was that New Orleans will NOT compete for a championship this year and the Rockets will.
Guest (22 May 2014 - 04:18 PM) I think this could be a ploy hatched by the NBA to try and get Lebron back to Cleveland. Think of the national media attention on the ENTIRE NBA if Lebron goes back. There will be stories about how Lebron has to win back fans, etc.... And it's a redemption story. And if he goes back to Cleveland and wins there, it undermines Jordan fanboys' biggest argument about not winning where he was drafted. I could see the reasoning behind conspiracy theorists.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:26 AM) I really wish we could go after Lebron. With him we could be unstoppable, but the media has probably convinced him it would be legacy suicide to go anywhere else than Miami/Cleveland.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:15 AM) There were many boneheaded mistakes by everybody. Lin had the one that was most egregious, but Beverley had one as well. Harden gave up on yet another play...Seriously??? But since Lin is so polarizing he will get the all of the blame.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:03 AM) I'm ready for Canaan. Lol.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:02 AM) Beverley should learn as well.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:01 AM) Now I'm mad at beverley
Guest (28 April 2014 - 04:57 AM) Is Troy Daniels the new Fisher/Horry clutch role player?
Guest (28 April 2014 - 04:52 AM) It's hard not to be pissed at Lin for that bonehead play.
Guest (30 December 2013 - 06:28 PM) What? SA would be a TOUGH matchup for us. After a fully healthy OKC, I wouldn't want to face them the most.
Guest (19 December 2013 - 02:47 AM) Has anyone watched the Celtics. Bass has played spectacularly on defense.
Guest (19 December 2013 - 01:16 AM) Bass is not bad. Lol at worthless.
Guest (18 December 2013 - 11:55 PM) The cupboard is bare in Brooklyn. Lopez/Deron are injury prone. Joe is about to enter his decline. KG/Pierce will be gone. I can't believe that Ainge would just give away that 2016 pick.
Guest (18 December 2013 - 11:50 PM) 2 picks in the late lottery/ late teens for 2 picks in the late 20s.
Guest (18 December 2013 - 11:47 PM) But 2 firsts, and swapping two low picks for two end of the first round picks seems an exorbitant amount for Asik.
Guest (18 December 2013 - 11:45 PM) Will this trade get Ainge fired?
Guest (18 December 2013 - 11:39 PM) This seems like a steal for the Rockets. I can't believe Ainge would throw away that many picks.
Guest (17 December 2013 - 03:24 PM) Green would excel in a system where he is the second or third option. He can put up tons of points if he's not doubled every time. Think of him as a rich man's Harrison Barnes.
Guest (14 December 2013 - 02:41 AM) I don't click on ads. I don't want to get viruses. It's just an unwanted part of the internet.
Guest (04 December 2013 - 01:23 AM) That's what Pop does. I think he's going to have to find ways to push their buttons like Pop and Phil do in order to win a chip.
Guest (03 December 2013 - 11:09 PM) Who is that on? Mchale for not forcing the PnR or Dwight for refusing to do it? With Mchale's refusals to combat Harden's ISOs, I'd have to go with Mchale's lack of discipline.
Guest (03 December 2013 - 03:28 AM) Tim Duncan is balling. It took a while. But his next game will be a DNP, so whatever.
Guest (03 December 2013 - 03:10 AM) Don't worry. The Rockets will come back and win.
Guest (03 December 2013 - 03:09 AM) I have Burke and Hayward on my fantasy team.... I'm perfectly fine with it.
Guest (28 November 2013 - 02:56 AM) Damnit. He's on my fantasy team. JK. I hope he's okay, but Brooks seems to be playing for minutes. He might start eating into the SG minutes taken up by Garcia.
Guest (28 November 2013 - 02:52 AM) I didn't have a chance to watch the game until now, did something happen to Lin or did they just decide to go with Brooks?
Guest (28 November 2013 - 12:45 AM) Is Fab Melo still available?
Guest (28 November 2013 - 12:31 AM) Oladipo is going to be special.
Guest (26 November 2013 - 02:16 PM) Anyone else think Minny got fleeced by Sac?
Guest (26 November 2013 - 03:30 AM) Was it just me or did Conley look gassed after that San Antonio game?
Guest (26 November 2013 - 02:45 AM) We're 26th in defensive rebounding rate on the year.
Guest (26 November 2013 - 01:52 AM) Mchale needs to coach boxing out.
Guest (25 November 2013 - 02:54 AM) I think Utah will start gelling soon and be a much better team than they've shown. They won't win a ton, but I think they'll prove to be competitive and win like 20 games.
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:53 AM) I don't think they'll three peat, that's just my hope.
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:27 AM) I think that this team will gel. I will support Mchale and hope he gets it together. I hope your name 2016 champions is us going for the threepeat.
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:26 AM) Lol. I mean Ibaka*
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:26 AM) Well Harden's offense consisted of corner 3s and 18 foot jumpers. He didn't have a post game.
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:10 AM) I don't see a great X's and O's guy(i.e. Pop, Thibs, Rivers). I don't see a guy who can manipulate his players(i.e. Phil and Pop). Apart from playing a pivotal role in luring Howard to Houston and scrapping the twin towers, I'm hard pressed to think of good things to say about Mchale as a coach.
Guest (22 November 2013 - 02:08 AM) A lot of people talk about coaches and say X's and O's don't matter. That's where assistants come in. I agree, to a point. Now, is Mchale a great motivator? Is Harden giving effort on defense?
Guest (15 November 2013 - 02:18 AM) Parsons looks like he's returning to form.
Guest (15 November 2013 - 02:00 AM) I don't think Asik will ever play a minute for the Rockets again.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 11:26 PM) Anyone know the starting lineup?
Guest (14 November 2013 - 03:28 AM) Lebron has Wade to take over at stretches. TP has Duncan(used to be the other way around), Curry has Thompson, CP3 has Blake, etc...
Guest (14 November 2013 - 03:28 AM) The point is Rudy, there was no other guy to take over. We only have Harden and Lin and Harden was out. That's why we need to keep Lin because he's the only guy who can create good looks.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 03:08 AM) From the improvements I've seen in the games so far, Lin worked on the SG areas of the game. Cutting, catch-and-shoot, 3 pointers, etc... This was the first game he was called on to play PG.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 03:06 AM) Once we establish a clear cut offense and people get settled, Lin will cut down on the turnovers.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 03:04 AM) He wore down as the game progressed.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 01:09 AM) We need to BOX OUT
Guest (14 November 2013 - 12:51 AM) James Anderson, dang dude. Why couldn't you do that for us?
Guest (14 November 2013 - 12:25 AM) I hope he keeps it up and locks down the 3PM stat for me.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 12:09 AM) I don't know if he would have done that. I would have been interested to see him battle against a much taller guard in MCW.
Guest (14 November 2013 - 12:01 AM) Is Lin starting then? Or are they going to trot out a Bev/Garcia tandem?
Guest (10 November 2013 - 03:26 AM) STUPID STUPID foul
Guest (10 November 2013 - 02:58 AM) Yeah. Not Lin's best game. Hopefully he can turn it around.
Guest (10 November 2013 - 02:38 AM) Beverley's best game
Guest (08 November 2013 - 02:59 AM) Our defense is struggling. Nash is doing everything he wants. Defensive lapses by Harden... But he's my opponent in fantasy so it's okay(this week).
Guest (04 November 2013 - 11:32 PM) Most good players have a lot of turnovers. It's just inevitable. It's when you're not a star that you have turnovers that it becomes a problem.
Guest (02 November 2013 - 02:59 AM) Is Evan Turner still trash, 2016?
Guest (12 October 2013 - 01:31 PM) Because both Lin and Harden are PG/SG combos in the vein of Rose/Westbrook/Irving/Parker/etc....

Mchale's views of a PG is somebody who brings the ball up the court and passes it to the SG.
Guest (21 September 2013 - 06:22 PM) Rahat, I think if you put a twitter feed on the side of the page, it would be better. Me, personally, I just don't bother scrolling down to try and find somebody to respond to. I like the twitter idea, but the combination didn't work.
Guest (20 August 2013 - 01:15 AM) Good insight, ST.
Guest (18 August 2013 - 09:42 PM) I can see that. He's always very circumspect when he's talking on camera compared to doing these AMAs. I don't think he's uncomfortable speaking but he's more in his element chatting online.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 10:35 PM) Has anyone noticed that Morey is more comfortable typing than speaking?
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:41 PM) Although this signing does make them look better to me.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:40 PM) Maybe. I don't really care all that much, but it just seems like he's being underpaid. And why would he want to stay in MIL? Have you seen the moves they've made thus far.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:33 PM) I hope he has an ETO. That would make the deal make sense in my mind. Otherwise why not play next year and get offered the max by a desperate team and have MIL match?
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:32 PM) Then why not get a 5th year?
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:29 PM) True about Pek, but I don't consider them elite rim protectors like in the vein of Duncan/KG/Asik/Howard/Gasol/Noah/Hibbert(showed improvement last year). Drummond and Sanders are potential candidates for rim protectors in my opinion.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:26 PM) Unless he has an opt out clause after two years(he might) this was a dumb deal.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:26 PM) If he had to agree to the 11 per to get a 5th year, then I could see it.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:26 PM) I agree with you in a vacuum. But with Splitter making 9 mil per and Pek making 12 per and all of the other bigs making money, I don't think so.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:23 PM) I understand that it was a risk that he couldn't replicate his production with bigger minutes, but 11 per? That's Tyreke and Jrue money. Not Sanders money.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:21 PM) Yes.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:09 PM) This made me lose some respect for Fegan, unless Sanders pushed this deal through.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 06:06 PM) Seriously? His agent has to be one of the biggest idiots on the planet.
Guest (16 August 2013 - 03:56 AM) Did we lose the last 8 or so hours on this site?
Guest (13 August 2013 - 12:50 AM) I'll go look it up.
Guest (12 August 2013 - 11:18 PM) The explanation that made the rounds as to why he was released was that SJax wanted some playing time and Pop wanted SJax to admit that Green/Leonard/Manu were better than him and he wouldn't do that. So, Pop decided to cut SJax and forgo any further disruptions. They got to the finals. It definitely was the right move for the Spurs.
Guest (10 August 2013 - 02:15 PM) I don't know anybody in the Rocket organization, but here's a link to their job opening and there are some internships. http://www.houstonto...ties/employment
Guest (02 August 2013 - 11:28 PM) It's not as clear cut as it's made out to be. While Kyrie is clearly the better player today, Wall has more potential IMO.
Guest (25 July 2013 - 01:53 PM) They will employ hack a Howard. It will be interesting if he can make over 50% of his free throws.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 02:55 AM) guy*
Guest (20 July 2013 - 02:54 AM) Yeah, I can see that. The dude is my favorite irrational confidence guys.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 02:15 AM) What are you guys' thoughts about bringing in Nate Robinson? I wondered why the Rockets signed Brooks when Nate was still available.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:59 AM) Cousins isn't consistent enough for that. I ranked them on a post if you want to comment there.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:41 AM) Larry Sanders is still to green to be that high up.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:41 AM) and some C
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:40 AM) Duncan's still a PF in my eyes, although he plays some PF.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:39 AM) Lol. I forgot Hibbert. I'd put him at 5th. That makes Asik 7th.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:35 AM) Not as big of a stretch to me.
Guest (20 July 2013 - 01:35 AM) Top 5 Centers
1)Howard
2)Gasol
3)Lopez
4)Noah
5)Chandler
6)Asik
Guest (30 June 2013 - 05:16 PM) Has anyone else heard that we signed Robert Covington?
Guest (09 June 2013 - 08:52 PM) Will Duncan be ejected or foul out tonight against Joey Crawford. Sometimes I wonder if Stern is as corrupt as some fans say he is?
Guest (28 May 2013 - 02:16 AM) But Houston has had players improve as well. So I'm looking forward to our own progress.
Guest (28 May 2013 - 02:15 AM) But, if it's any team, it's San Antonio. Have you seen the improvement by Splitter. All he needs now is a jumper and he'll be a top 7 Center.
Guest (27 May 2013 - 04:04 AM) We'll see. I think he has all the requisite athleticism and if TP can learn to shoot like that, he can too. He is still learning. Don't forget he's already a superstar calibre defender.
Guest (26 May 2013 - 11:44 PM) The Spurs improve their players tremendously. And with Ginobili and Duncan retiring soon, he and Danny Green will be the No.2 and No.3 option for San Antonio.
Guest (26 May 2013 - 11:36 PM) Why not? He's already money from 3. He's added a little it extra and he's only getting better. I guess I'm the only one who remembers how RAW Tony Parker was when he came into the league. Hell, even Bonner has a midrange game now.
Guest (26 May 2013 - 07:28 PM) Danny Green will also continue to get better.
Guest (26 May 2013 - 07:28 PM) I truly believe Kawhi Leonard will be a top 10 player in 3 years. The rate at which he has been able to progress is stunning. I watched him struggle against Jimmer and now look at him.
Guest (19 May 2013 - 10:59 PM) Top 5 point guards of all time 1)Magic, 2)Stockton, 3)Nash, 4)Thomas, 5)Kidd IMO
Guest (21 April 2013 - 02:53 AM) Nah. I like him for around 8-9 a year for 3 years, but at 12? IDK.
Guest (21 April 2013 - 01:28 AM) 2016, has your opinion on Millsap changed? That last game was not pretty.
Guest (21 April 2013 - 01:27 AM) Oh. Maybe. But he loves going ISO way too much. He could though. He has the talent, that's for sure.
Guest (21 April 2013 - 01:01 AM) I don't think Harden will sniff LBJ and Durant next year. His ceiling next year is third best player in the league. But in a few years, he could surpass that.
Guest (11 April 2013 - 10:53 PM) I haven't really seen much growth out of any of our PFs this year, Smith excluded. So those of you who like his background as a big, why?
Guest (04 April 2013 - 04:24 AM) Like I said in a post earlier, I wondered if he had that will to win and would sacrifice stats a la Duncan/KG/LBJ/etc... or will he a new Melo/Kobe/Marbury/AI/etc...
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:53 AM) 1)LBJ, 2)KD, 3)Melo, 4)Smith, 5)George, 6)Pierce, 7)Kawhi, 8)Parsons
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:50 AM) I don't know. The SF position is packed today.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:49 AM) Do you guys think ESPN will run the hype machine and try to give the MVP to Melo?
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:46 AM) Probably. But we all thought that CHI/NYK would match as well.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:45 AM) So......Tyreke? Yes or no on bringing him in as a backup PG/SG/SF and playing him 30 minutes a night? He would take Beverley's minutes and some of Delfino's.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:44 AM) I'm just glad that Parsons is out of his slump. He has been horrible recently. We'll need him hot for the playoffs if we don't want to get swept.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:20 AM) We have a better shot against OKC than Denver.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:17 AM) Not cool. Not cool.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:15 AM) WHAT?
Guest (04 April 2013 - 03:08 AM) Parsons has broken out of his slump at the right time.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 02:45 AM) There we go. DMo got this team going.
Guest (04 April 2013 - 02:42 AM) WTF is with this energy right now.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:49 AM) Talk about a low blow.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:49 AM) Parsons is out with food poisoning. Houston coach Kevin McHale joked that Parsons, who played at Florida, was actually suffering from "Wolverine poisoning" after watching Michigan beat the Gators in the NCAA tournament on Sunday.

Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:47 AM) Any updates on Harden?
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:45 AM) I think Trob starts at PF next year. He was so good at Kansas. He'll improve and be the starting PF.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:37 AM) I use the trade machine on ESPN.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:36 AM) Lin has great chemistry with our guys. If he and Harden play summer ball together, watch out. This team will win 50 next year.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:32 AM) I think Harden thinks he's a better player than CP3. The only 2 he would defer to (imo) is Durant and James.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:30 AM) I'm starting to think that we don't need anybody else. Our guys will improve and we don't have many weaknesses besides a lockdown defender at the wing and a backup C. (sorry, Greg Smith is a PF). But does Morey trust in our guys or go after big names?
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:26 AM) I love Harden. I don't know if it's Harden's or Mchale's fault. We don't need to defer to Harden. Harden will get his. Just stick to the offense and treat Harden like any other player.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:25 AM) lol.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:23 AM) And does anybody else believe that our offense runs smoother with Harden out? Is that a warning flag or am I overreacting? It seems that the team plays freer and they don't defer to Harden every play.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:22 AM) Because he's lost athleticism since his injury. Danny Green is also better and Neal is so clutch that I don't blame them.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:21 AM) And I think we could get him at 1.1 or 1.2 million a year.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:18 AM) Where did you get KD from?
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:16 AM) Mayo at 6-8 is a better deal than Tyreke at 10-12 mil a year. But Tyreke > Mayo when not factoring in the dollars.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:15 AM) How to get more endorsement deals? And be more popular? SCORE. The guys who don't score as much because they're doing other things don't get as much pub(that's why people think Kobe > Duncan).
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:14 AM) I'm just saying thenit that it would be a sick offense.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:14 AM) But most fans don't understand defense and rate their favorite players based on points. Harden understands this and wants the money that comes from scoring a lot.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:12 AM) In our offense with Tyreke we would essentially have 3 PGs on the floor in Lin/Harden/Tyreke. The price, though. I think he would cost a bit. He's a restricted FA so he couldn't take less to come here because SAC would match.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:09 AM) 48% from the floor.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:08 AM) Someone would eat those 6ppg up and we would be a much better team.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:08 AM) Actually yes. With the offense we run, I could live without that extra 6ppg.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:07 AM) He's quick, athletic, explosive, young and has a decent PER on a HORRIBLE team.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:05 AM) No. But by next year that answer might change. Look at the growth he made this year.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:03 AM) He could play the 3 if needed as well with that height.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 01:03 AM) What do you all think about Tyreke Evans. He can play the 1 or the 2 and he's 6'6
Guest (02 April 2013 - 12:57 AM) Remember Anderson didn't have very many prospects this offseason. He hasn't gotten the PT to command more money.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 12:55 AM) Anderson would take the minimum or 1.1 or 1.2 million if we're being generous.
Guest (02 April 2013 - 12:53 AM) Man. Beverley has just flat out outplayed Lin. Lin is a disgrace tonight.
Guest (01 April 2013 - 07:03 PM) Beverley is a great energy guy that plays above average defense. That's about it. Not a game-changer. Not a starting point guard.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 08:09 PM) Well, I haven't really noticed anybody that posts pro-Lin messages. I'm the closest thing to a Lin fan that this board has. I might just have missed the rest of the comments.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 08:02 PM) Believing that Lin is better than Beverley and wanting Lin to play more automatically means we think he's a star? Just because we don't agree with you, don't paint us in a negative light.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 07:29 PM) I know. My own personal opinion that's not widely held is that in 2-3 years Lin could be worthy of an all-star bid if he continues to improve.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 06:34 PM) Lebron is the PG. Also, Jordan and Kobe played in the triangle which didn't need a pass first PG. I agree, Beverley would excel in the triangle.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 06:26 PM) I like Beverley, but when I look at him I see a Shooting guard. That's what he is. He's an undersized 2-guard.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 06:22 PM) And Beverley is an above average BACKUP point guard, people need to stop acting like he's good enough to be a starter.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 05:43 PM) I think 2016 has given up on Lin. He's channeling his inner Mchale, not his inner Morey.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 12:14 AM) The ball's moving well.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 03:04 AM) The Rocket I like the most is Parsons. The Rocket I dislike the most is Mchale. What about you guys?
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:51 AM) "Hey guys. First time being here? Let me show you around. That's where Delfino sits. That's where Anderson sits. That's where Beverley sits. And here's where I sit. Make yourselves at home."

- Lin welcoming Harden and Parsons to his NBA home
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:51 AM) Here's a comment I stole from ESPN boards.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:30 AM) We'll see 2016. I'm not sure this is a positive thing.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:22 AM) If the team responds to being benched in a positive light, Mchale keeps his job. If they fail to respond or respond negatively, Mchale just lost his job.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:20 AM) Be careful what you wish for xsamc1. But I wanted the same thing too.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:19 AM) The message might work. But Parsons/DMo played well. Not sure what message they were being sent.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:19 AM) Comparing Mchale to Pop is just idiotic.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:17 AM) Rest for tomorrow......or Mchale's just a trash coach. Take your pick.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:13 AM) Harden looks mad.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:11 AM) Mchale's given up on the game.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:08 AM) Wouldn't surprise me. He's pretty unpredictable.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:07 AM) The bench looks gassed to me.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:04 AM) Do you see the sweat pouring off of James Anderson. He's played great, but his conditioning is showing.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 02:02 AM) Over-eagerness is a strength......and a weakness.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:59 AM) True. That's his ceiling. We'll see if he can get there.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:54 AM) Beverley is an undersized 2 guard.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:53 AM) Even now, it's James initiating the offense.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:51 AM) No, but he can initiate the offense.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:47 AM) I like his energy, but he's not polished enough to command more than spot minutes in my eyes. He's like DMo. High energy, makes lots of mistakes. Can't initiate the offense.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:45 AM) When you give up that many offensive rebounds you will lose the game.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:29 AM) Lin got beat on that play.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:24 AM) That was a GOOD rotation on Conley.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:23 AM) Dmo, Dmo, Dmo.....
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:14 AM) Lebron went off for 28 in the first half......He's probably the only player I'd trade Harden for.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:13 AM) Bev let Bayless get off good looks. Prince was knocking everything down. Asik/Smith let Gasol get a running start at the rim. We didn't rotate well. Lin didn't pressure enough and gave Conley time to get a decent pass off. Everybody played poorly on the defensive end.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:09 AM) Millsap/Jefferson struggled against us. West was out, I think. So maybe you're right.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:08 AM) I'd rather not double at all, but if you're going to do it, then do it right.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:08 AM) And if you double you have to rotate.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:07 AM) Doubling is fine. But tripling and quadrupling is not.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:06 AM) Just double team and let him score if he scores.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:06 AM) Why were we triple or quadruple teaming ZBo every play and leaving guys open for three?
Guest (30 March 2013 - 01:02 AM) He figures that NOBODY can guard him so why bother.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:57 AM) Everyone's played well so far except Bev and Asik. No excuse to be out-rebounded by ZBo/Gasol/Prince.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:54 AM) The thing that makes Harden GREAT is his ability to evade charges.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:52 AM) DMo is playing perhaps his best half of the season tonight.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:47 AM) Although that was great energy with his offensive rebounding that play.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:46 AM) He hasn't tonight.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:44 AM) Hopefully DMo and Parsons keep up the hot shooting. They have both been struggling.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:43 AM) Bev hasn't done ANYTHING tonight but brick tonight.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:38 AM) When will the Rockets learn that Asik can't catch bounce passes?
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:33 AM) How do you guys think Lin responded after that rough spot? I thought he played well afterwards. I hope the coach starts letting Lin play through his rough stretches.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:28 AM) NICE move by TRob.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 12:26 AM) See what happens when the coach lets Lin play through a rough stretch........I hope Mchale learns.
Guest (29 March 2013 - 10:09 PM) Is he physical enough to hang with anybody?
Guest (29 March 2013 - 10:07 PM) Is Dmo the worst defender at the PF spot in the league?
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:25 AM) Peace out guys. Time to sleep. I had class from 8 AM to 6PM.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:17 AM) Why is Harden initiating the offense EVERY SINGLE TIME???
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:16 AM) Or Asik's.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:13 AM) Why is Lin done? He played GOOD in the 3rd.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:07 AM) But how much floor spacing will there really be? Wouldn't teams just leave DMo open since he's struggling hitting shots.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 02:02 AM) I'm to the point that I don't want DMo to start. I'd rather start Greg Smith or TRob at PF. Heck even Delfino would be better and I hate Delfino at PF.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:58 AM) Why are Lin's turnovers worse than Harden's misses?
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:43 AM) Because he has NOTHING to fear. He knows he'll be wide open and that confidence is infectious.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:40 AM) Harden's the worst defender on the Rockets and I don't think it's that debatable.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:39 AM) It's okay to be upset if your team didn't play up to expectations.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:35 AM) If you're not happy with a ring, you're not a fan.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:32 AM) I don't think he ever gave Lin a chance, tbh.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:31 AM) DMo is trash tonight.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:24 AM) Smith has outplayed Asik. TRob has outplayed DMo. Delfino has outpalyed Harden. Beverley has outplayed Lin. Let's have Harden, Lin, Asik, and DMo come off the bench.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:22 AM) Smith has outplayed Asik
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:02 AM) It's hard to debate the fact that Mchale doesn't like Lin "as a player."
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:59 AM) Lin's done for the night.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:53 AM) Harden was trolling for an assist right there. That was HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. I hate when Harden dribbles down to 2 seconds and passes to a guarded defender. That's what some people do in NBA 2K to get assists.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:47 AM) I'm not a fan of Bev initiating the offense.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:44 AM) Bev couldn't defend against that post up.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:42 AM) Yeah. So is Greg Smith recently. I think being out of the rotation has fired him up.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:39 AM) Dumb foul.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:35 AM) TRob has proven that he's better than DMo at this point.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:33 AM) Is he?
Guest (28 March 2013 - 12:21 AM) I'm surprised only one person commented on my thread about the urinal gaming that's coming to sports.
Guest (27 March 2013 - 03:04 AM) I'm rooting for the Mavs for two reasons. 1) I want the Clippers to not get the No. 3 spot., 2) I hate the Lakers.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:21 AM) We also have a nice cushion ahead of 8th. I think, barring a monumental collapse, we're a lock for the postseason.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:19 AM) Everybody except Utah has been playing well.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:16 AM) Portland/Dallas/LAL/Utah, who do you got for the postseason?
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:15 AM) He doesn't look as explosive as before the injury, but I don't see a ton of mistakes that most young guys make.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:11 AM) I actually like James Anderson. How come he gets no love from Mchale?
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:10 AM) I agree.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:07 AM) Biggest thing for TRob to work on in the offseason is the 15-18 foot jumper and the corner 3.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 02:06 AM) Do we make Beverley our backup SG? He's got the defense for it. He'll be undersized, but I think he can handle that.
Guest (23 March 2013 - 12:23 AM) How's the game been so far? I just got back from watching that new Morgan Freeman movie.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 10:50 PM) How far will Smart fall in the draft now?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 10:31 PM) I'm rooting for the Zags, but they're struggling.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 03:00 AM) OKC is beatable.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:56 AM) Quick score or hold it?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:55 AM) It's good to see guys actually care.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:51 AM) That was an extremely long hook shot.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:49 AM) 3mil this year, 2.5 next year, and 2.2 the year after.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:48 AM) WTF is with all these offensive interference calls.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:47 AM) Re-signing Collison for that little was a steal.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:43 AM) I think Denver might get that Number 3 seed.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:41 AM) But they were abnormally hot. They've come back down to earth now.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:39 AM) Nvmd. It was close though.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:39 AM) Was his foot on the line?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:37 AM) Westbrook is hitting some clutch free throws.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:37 AM) But I am worried about Gasol and ZBo.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:36 AM) I'm not worried about Jordan or Griffin posting us up.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:34 AM) I agree.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:33 AM) I'd rather play the Thunder than the Grizz in the playoffs.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:32 AM) Good foul by Thabo.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:30 AM) And I hate Kentucky.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:30 AM) If he wants to go number one, he should go to UK.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:28 AM) Where's Wiggins going?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:24 AM) Do you guys think Myck Kabongo stays another year at Texas?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:23 AM) I was thinking of Scola with that hair.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:19 AM) True. I like the Zags' big man. Reminds me of somebody...
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:17 AM) I like the Zags to make some noise, but for Indiana to win it.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:15 AM) Duncan's having another superstar night. The Spurs are beating the Warriors. Dallas is losing. The night can't get much better for the Rockets.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:12 AM) Now if we can hit our free throws, we'll seal the victory.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:10 AM) Favors is a stud.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:08 AM) It's officially over now.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:08 AM) sweet pass by lin.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:07 AM) That's how you do it.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:06 AM) CLUTCH free throws.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:05 AM) Oh, yeah true.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:05 AM) Heat ball. Game's over.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:04 AM) what is discrimination?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 02:03 AM) THANK YOU
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:59 AM) They've run the same damn play 5 times in a row.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:58 AM) James has his triple double.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:57 AM) They need to do pick and rolls and stop doing ISOs the whole time.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:56 AM) It's because Harden is initiating the offense and Lin is sitting in the corner.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:55 AM) Lol. The announcers are making me laugh.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:54 AM) 65
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:51 AM) No it was a commercial. Kareem I guess was diving and tried a backflip and landed on his stomach. It was pretty funny. I might watch that diving show.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:51 AM) WTF? Beverley on a step back? Get him out of the game.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:49 AM) Did you guys see Kareem's dive? Hilarious.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:49 AM) Lebron James flipped the switch.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:48 AM) Aside from his 3 pointers, I haven't seen much of note from Beverley lately. He better step it up if he doesn't want his minutes taken by Brooks.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:46 AM) "You can get to the rim against this team" lol. The announcers are still at it.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:42 AM) ISO's are actually worse than PnR. He averages .95ppp, down from 1.02 from PnR.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:36 AM) Where are the stats for ISOs versus Pick and roll, etc...
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:35 AM) He is, when the rest of the team is moving and keeping the defense occupied. When he's doing ISOs as not part of the offense, he's not that great.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:33 AM) Maybe. It was just a horrible posession. He followed it up by a turnover. I don't care that much because we're up by so much, but you can tell there's a difference between Harden playing within the offense and him not doing that.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:30 AM) Why did Harden go ISO?
Guest (21 March 2013 - 01:24 AM) I agree.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:40 AM) ESPN says he's 6-10.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:34 AM) I thought he was 6-8.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:29 AM) that was also funny.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:28 AM) I know. I just found it funny.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:26 AM) Delfino looks like he's got his shot tonight.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:23 AM) LMFAO. The announcer just said, the Rockets do not want to play defense. You're bailing them out when you don't attack the basket.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:22 AM) He made a poor play, but got the ball back 2 seconds later and got that layup.
Guest (21 March 2013 - 12:13 AM) that play by lin was funny
Guest (19 March 2013 - 03:00 AM) Man, if Jeff Green is that good consistently, the Heat are in trouble. Lebron James went to guard him and then Pierce went off. James can't guard both Pierce and Green at the same time.
Guest (18 March 2013 - 11:43 PM) I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that KG had a mental disorder. Of course, he could just be a d-bag.
Guest (18 March 2013 - 10:20 PM) KG is the villian of the NBA. He told Duncan on mother's day, "Happy Mother's Day, Motherfucker" when he knew Duncan's mother had passed away previously. He talked about how Melo's wife Lala "tasted" like Honey nut Cheerios. I don't mind trash talk, but people like KG are classless.
Guest (18 March 2013 - 12:02 AM) I'm going to go play God of War. I'll tune in during the second half.
Guest (17 March 2013 - 11:53 PM) Put Parsons at the 4.
Guest (17 March 2013 - 11:52 PM) You can't continue to keep jacking up shots if you're missing. I blame Lin for continuing to feed him the ball.
Guest (17 March 2013 - 11:51 PM) DMo is playing like trash.
Guest (16 March 2013 - 01:33 AM) True.
Guest (16 March 2013 - 01:27 AM) Or Minny just has our number.
Guest (16 March 2013 - 01:05 AM) This game really shows the coaching disparities between Adelman and Mchale.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:35 AM) I know trade exceptions can't be bundled with other trade exceptions.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:34 AM) You're probably right.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:27 AM) Oh, I thought you could use that plus whatever cap space you have left.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:22 AM) Could the Rockets theoretically trade away Asik for a 1st rounder and a trade exception, and then use that in a sign and trade with Josh Smith? I'm not sure if you can use both. That would allow use to get Howard and Smith.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:14 AM) He's all out of plays now.
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:12 AM) Maybe he's not as worthless as we thought....
Guest (14 March 2013 - 01:09 AM) This team goes as Parsons goes.
Guest (10 March 2013 - 08:59 PM) Here's a random question. Have any of you watched the new History channel show, Vikings?
Guest (10 March 2013 - 03:37 AM) Give up 7 freaking rebounds on the same damn play. That's the way to lose.
Guest (10 March 2013 - 03:07 AM) this is ugly as hell.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 06:55 PM) Rudy Gay has so much wasted potential.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:59 AM) Peace out guys. I'm going to tape the game and watch it tonight.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:53 AM) But Asik doesn't that that many shots. But yeah he looks like an idiot on offense. Almost as bad as Javale Mcgee at times.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:52 AM) I think we have too many quality young guys. We're spreading the minutes too thin, in my opinion. We need to get a set rotation, so that once we get into the playoffs there's some consistency.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:50 AM) True.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:47 AM) Outside of Ty Lawson, Harden is the guy who gets blocked the most in the NBA(out of guys who are key players on their teams).
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:43 AM) Lin's playing some good defense tonight. He seems to be able to play Curry well.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:41 AM) Do any of you all know where I can find that stat about how many times each player's been blocked? I would think Lin and Harden lead the league.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:40 AM) We need to get Asik/TRob in the gym all summer long working on free throws.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:39 AM) True. But if it's the price the Rox have to pay to keep Asik involved, then I guess I'm willing to pay it.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:37 AM) I think Lin shoots 50/38/85 next year averaging 16 points, 8 assists, if he gets 35 minutes a game.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:36 AM) I am to the point that I don't want the Rockets to pass the ball to Asik at all.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:34 AM) Yep. That's why I think he'll improve DRASTICALLY in the offseason.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:33 AM) That's why Lin doesn't fit as well until he gets to be a much better shooter(which I think he works on this offseason).
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:31 AM) CP3 is a true PG. Curry is not. We don't need a PG like Rondo/CP3, etc...
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:30 AM) I agree.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:28 AM) Dumb foul by Lin.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:25 AM) True. I just think that he gets SO many wide open shots that it wouldn't be hard to see him scoring a lot. But yeah, I think a more realistic number would be 18-22 a game.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:25 AM) Our offensive system NEEDS a PF that can either shoot the 3 or a LONG 2.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:23 AM) I guess. But he gets so many wide open shots, it's not impossible.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:21 AM) Is it just me, or if we keep the same team next year, could Parsons average 25-30 points a game?
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:21 AM) I agree, that's why I don't like him.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:18 AM) I give him some. But not as much as some. But if you don't worship Mchale, you're not a "true fan" according to some.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:17 AM) I think Mchale is a good to great coach outside of actually coaching the games. But I also believe he is the worst in game coach currently in the NBA.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:16 AM) That's what the Heat do with Wade/James.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:13 AM) isn't*
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:13 AM) I don't understand why either Lin or Harden is in at all times. With both of them out, the Rockets struggle.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 04:09 AM) I read a comment on the ESPN boards and it said the Rockets should trade Harden to Kris Humphries' entourage the way he's playing.
Guest (09 March 2013 - 03:50 AM) Lin's coming out now.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:21 AM) interested*
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:21 AM) I'm interest in how the Mchale lovers justify his decisions tonight. I'm not a fan of Mchale's but a midseason coaching change would just be counterproductive. But there are people on this forum that think we should stick with Mchale next year as well.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:17 AM) Somewhere in the world, Kade is laughing maniacally and screaming at his television, "I told you so. Mchale is trash."
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:12 AM) Time to revisit my "Where will Lin be next year" thread.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:11 AM) Beverley just played so AWESOME, that he couldn't be taken out. I don't blame Mchale at all.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:08 AM) You should have focused on the direction the ball goes. It's the opposite direction as the direction his hand is moving.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:07 AM) right call.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 04:06 AM) Harden.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:59 AM) DMo is barely strong enough to play PF, he'd get brutalized at the C.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:55 AM) I would love to get OJ Mayo and move Harden to SF.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:53 AM) Good question announcer.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:49 AM) He's got elite potential.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:45 AM) Beverley has the "hot hand". He'll finish the game.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:43 AM) That's a good idea if that's the reasoning. I think Mchale is too angry to think clearly.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:40 AM) Beverley has been sucking it up the last few minutes. Why not put Lin back in?
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:33 AM) But he makes up for his mistakes by continuing to play hard and makes stuff happen on the defensive end.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:32 AM) Parsons is bailing out Beverley.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:29 AM) Parsons has 4, Harden has 3. No excuse.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:28 AM) It's both 2016 champions. He's got that bum ankle from when he rolled it in that one game. And his knee is bothering him.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:27 AM) DMo is having another sub par rebounding night. Patterson all over again with the boards.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:23 AM) I think I maybe overestimated Beverley in that small stretch. He got my hopes up, and now he's back to normal backup PG status.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:21 AM) No. He's got a bum ankle. I'd rather him miss a few games. I think we'll be fine without him for a few games. We need him well rested for the playoffs. I don't want him to turn into Deron Williams.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 03:19 AM) way too much..... I don't think so. In the playoffs we'll need Lin to be better at playing the game with the ball in his hands. He's been playing off the ball a lot so he needs to get into rhythm if we're going to upset anybody. So I'm fine with it. Plus Harden gets to get some rest.
Guest (07 March 2013 - 02:37 AM) JLin for the buzzer beater.
Guest (05 March 2013 - 02:02 PM) I'd much rather play the Griz. Their defense is tough, but with DMo keeping ZBo away from the rim, it's not going to be as stingy.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:28 AM) I'm out guys. I have a governmental accounting test tomorrow. The government likes to be complicated for some reason.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:26 AM) He is tall and long. But sometimes he forgets to box out and just tries to use his arms to get the board.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:23 AM) I'm surprised that DMo's rebounded as well as he has tonight.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:21 AM) Maybe that was a bit strong.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:14 AM) Peace, thenit.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:12 AM) His defense isn't poor, but we need a good defensive wing because of Harden's liabilities.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:12 AM) What he needs to work on in the offseason is 1)Defense, 2)FT%, 3)Everything else is above average. He just needs to continue what he's been doing.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:09 AM) True.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:08 AM) For a non KD/LBJ/Melo he's been good.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:05 AM) decently, but not at the level of Harden/Lin
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:03 AM) The announcers just said it. They said they'd pick him up off of waivers. The Rockets were going to sign him outright, but waivers takes priority.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:01 AM) There are no initiators in the game. As much as I like Parsons, he can't drive that well.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 02:00 AM) Cleveland might pick up Brooks. I hadn't read that.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:58 AM) I meant 3rd quarter defense.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:57 AM) Good move by TRob.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:56 AM) I've seen the offense by Houston before. I'm more impressed by the defense.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:55 AM) And I saw 2 ISOs by Delfino this quarter.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:53 AM) Since when is Mchale sensible?
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:52 AM) Yeah I do. He is our flopper.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:51 AM) NO
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:49 AM) Such a big flop by Beverley. But great hustle.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:45 AM) I don't like Mchale, but this team is all EFFORT and I like that and I'm not sure how much of that is him and how much of that is the players.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:43 AM) 40 pt game by Parsons?
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:40 AM) Horrible miss by Lin.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:37 AM) Asik's defense + DMo's offense = Best big man today.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:36 AM) The GREATEST attribute the Rockets have is selflessness. They have ZERO ego.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:34 AM) Yep. His help defense is key.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:32 AM) Exactly.+
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:27 AM) 1) Free throws, 2)Catching, 3) Finishing at the rim
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:26 AM) Top 3 things for Asik to fix
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:24 AM) Correct, but there are some people on the boards gushing over him and acting like he's a good player this year. He still needs a lot of improvement. Patterson wasn't flashy, but he was solid. He has nowhere near the potential of DMo, but I don't blame a win-now guy in Mchale for playing Patterson over DMo if DMo turns the ball over in practice like this.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:20 AM) I agree about Dmo, but I don't see him being that polished this year. Next year, we'll see how much improves in the offseason and that will give me the basis for judging him.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:16 AM) I agree. Pretty stupid. And Garcia won't stay hot, but pretty good start nonetheless. But with TRob and DMo getting minutes, our turnovers are going to skyrocket.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:12 AM) Garcia's looked GREAT tonight.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:08 AM) True, but he makes a dumb play the play after he makes a good one. It's keeping me from getting my hopes up too much.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:06 AM) I agree. That 3 point ISO play was not a great play though. Other than that and the one drive where he got bailed out by Kaman, he's had a great game.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:04 AM) Dmo makes a stupid play, a good one, a stupid one, a good one. If he can eliminate some of the bad ones, he'd be a good player. Right now, with his struggles he's a decent player. I wouldn't say he's that good.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:59 AM) Does anyone else think Harden's a bit upset. He went over to Lin's side and gestured that he wanted the ball but Lin didn't give it to him.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:55 AM) 1 more shot by Lin and he gets benched for the half.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:53 AM) That's the divide on this forum. Some love Mchale, some hate him. Others just don't think we can do better.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:50 AM) I just wish Asik had a mind for offense. He has to be the most offensively inept player ever to play the game of basketball.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:49 AM) No he does not. I concur.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:47 AM) The coach needs to do what the Heat do with James/Wade.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:43 AM) We need Lin or Harden in at all times.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:40 AM) Tristan Thompson.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:38 AM) I agree, except I want 3s.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:36 AM) Beverley has been QUIET so far.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:33 AM) He NEEDS to work on his handles if he's going to dribble.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:31 AM) The latter.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:30 AM) Mayo was stomping on the Rockets, but luckily committed some stupid fouls.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:29 AM) Although he got bailed out by a stupid move from Kaman.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:28 AM) It's good to see Lin being aggressive.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:22 AM) It was close. I didn't like the call though since everybody travels nowadays.
Guest (04 March 2013 - 12:19 AM) Mayo is torching the Rockets
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:30 PM) But remember Felton outweighs Bosh. He goes to McDonalds everyday.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:30 PM) It was.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:27 PM) I don't expect him to get that many offensive boards since he's mostly away from the basket hitting 18 foot jumpers, but there's no excuse for not getting more defensive boards.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:26 PM) Maybe you're right, but he didn't have any of these problems in Toronto. He averaged 24pts 10.8rbs
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:25 PM) I can forgive him for not getting 10-12 rebounds with the minutes he plays, since James is going to steal a few of those, but he should AT LEAST get 8 every game. He got 1 today. 1.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:22 PM) It hasn't worked.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:19 PM) as effectively.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:18 PM) I believe he is. He sacrificed strength when he came to miami in the quest for more speed. He seems to have lost a lot of muscle, and so can't rebound.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:11 PM) Those two threes back to back to tie the game and the defensive plays were great as well. Although he did push off and got away with it. Say what you want about Bosh, but he has a sweet jumper that is close to unstoppable due to his height(a la Aldridge). But he looks so dang skinny now. It's like he lost a ton of weight since he moved to Miami. I remember when he had that long hair and was more than just a jump shooter.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 08:17 PM) Anyone watching the Heat/Knicks game?
Guest (03 March 2013 - 04:26 PM) I don't know if he's amazing, but insane is correct.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:32 AM) I liked Barnes, but I wasn't sure how he'd translate.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:20 AM) True. But once he gets acclimated to Houston's system, I think he'll be fine.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:19 AM) Brooks has been outplayed by all 5 other guards on Sac's roster. He had that one really good season in Houston, but the rest of his career has been sub-par culminating in the horrible year this year.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:14 AM) Oh. I thought you meant that Brooks would outplay Lin. I've watched a lot of Sacramento games and seen the trash that Brooks has become.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:11 AM) views*
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:11 AM) So are we. For whatever reason, Mchale doesn't look favorably upon Lin. Your view of Lin are well known. You think he'll be pushed out of the rotation by play, I think he'll be pushed out of the rotation based on Mchale's preferences.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 01:01 AM) He would cut him though. Or buy out his contract. I understand the slip up though. It hasn't been that long since the deadline.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 12:31 AM) Brooks is more experienced. Heck so is Beverley. He played several years overseas(better than college) and has proven to be a better defender. I wouldn't be surprised if his minuted declined to around 5-10 a night.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 12:08 AM) Yes he has been improving, but there aren't any "no ways" with Mchale.
Guest (02 March 2013 - 11:42 PM) It wouldn't surprise me given Mchale's handling of Lin's minutes.
Guest (02 March 2013 - 04:46 AM) Beverley played lights out tonight.
Guest (28 February 2013 - 02:04 PM) Delfino*
Guest (28 February 2013 - 02:04 PM) Lin's defense isn't great, and it's funny that when he plays great defense, Ellis bails out Jennings with a circus 3 pointer from 30 feet. That's got to be disheartening. But DMo looked good. Coach Mchale needs to stop Dmo from trying to be a Joe Johnson type doing ISO plays and pulling up for a 28 point 3 pointer with 12 seconds on the clock. It's frustrating. It's basically a turnover.
Guest (26 February 2013 - 04:57 PM) I liked it. Thanks for the link.
Guest (26 February 2013 - 01:48 AM) 1 from 7th, 3 from 6th, 4.5 from 5th place.
Guest (26 February 2013 - 01:42 AM) I'm sensing 7th or 8th.
Guest (26 February 2013 - 12:54 AM) the*
Guest (26 February 2013 - 12:52 AM) When we're at our best, I think that we're close to that mark. Admittedly, the last game against he Wiz wasn't very good.
Guest (25 February 2013 - 11:54 PM) Yeah, there might be less threads though if people are online. However, it might help increase traffic.
Guest (25 February 2013 - 11:51 PM) Hello.
