The Daily Blast – January 21, 2013

Lamentations – Weekend losses to the Pacers and Timberwolves have pushed the Rockets losing streak to 7 games. We’re not seeing the amount of apocalyptic drama these losses would bring to an L.A. or N.Y. team, but it’s still depressing.

Speculations - Trade talk tends to stick to losing like stink on a fish. Marc Stein (ESPN Insider) says Josh Smith‘s most likely landing spot is Houston. Alex Kennedy of USA Today is tweeting that Zach Randolf could head to Houston.

Juicy stuff from the GM after the break:

Mind of Morey – Daryl might not do much at the trade deadline after all. Of course, he might be too busy writing lengthy letters to Royce White.

Tweet That – Two fake online personas. Two sports. One tweet to bring them together:

If you don’t get it, just Google Manti Te’o, and then step out of the darkness into the internet’s warm, blue light.

You Would Cry Too, If It Happened To YouLooks like basketball is heading back to Seattle. Tough nuts, Sacramento.

James All-Starden – Continuing a theme from Friday, if coaches vote like NBA writers do, Harden is a lock for the All-Star team.

Stuff That Matters – Chris Paul’s a good man for doing it. J.A. Adande is a good man for writing about it. You’ll feel like a better person for reading it. Some things put it all into perspective.

Personal Problems - I’ll be in Charlotte tonight for the only Rockets game that I get to watch in person all year. I sit by the baseline wearing red and waving signs. I heckle. Last year their mascot unloaded a whole can of silly string on me. Can’t wait to see what happens this time…
