You may have noticed a post with identical title just yesterday. What I want to do, and have been doing with ‘The Week’s Best’, is highlight the best reader comments from specific time frames. It’s a good change from the monotony of my own views but more importantly, underscores the vast range of perspectives on any one issue. Fair disclosure of that sort can only be helpful in facilitating healthy debate.

The Best ‘Moment’ discards the crutch of hindsight. It seeks to capture moments in time and reader passion in those same seconds. With our focus on afterthought analysis, we all sometimes forget that the essence of sport is the joy and emotions during the live event.

Just hours after many wondered if the emergence of rookie Ish Smith was making Aaron Brooks closer to becoming ‘expendable’, our own Connor Winn writes:
