A call to arms: capologist needed

Update below

As several of you know, I’ll be starting law school in the fall.  Rest assured, I’ll continue offering my musings on the team on a daily basis, but with the added responsibility, I just won’t be able to devote the same amount of time this year into writing the blog.  I need a workload reduction and some of what I used to do on my own will need to be done by others.

It’s in that vein that I’m seeking a new contributor.  I just won’t have the energy this year to crunch numbers like I had been doing.  At the same time, I’d be remiss to allow this blog to completely neglect inquiry into those matters – ours is a front office always shrewd in its maneuverings.

To put it simply, I need someone to handle the books – a resident capologist, if you will.  I’d expect a breakdown upon each rumored or actual transaction and regular forecasts of the team’s future commitments.  Additional insight into the team’s financial obligations or machinations would be invaluable.  For this role, I’m looking for about a post per week.

Applicants need be versed in the lexicon of the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement and have a firm grasp of Larry Coon’s FAQ.

If you’d like to become a contributor to Red94 in this capacity, email me at [email protected] with your vision of what you can provide and a few paragraphs demonstrating your abilities.  This will be a critical role for Red94 so I need to ensure that whoever I bring on is up to the task.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Update: Per an applicant’s concerns, by a weekly post, I don’t mean that I want a full blown ‘piece’, but rather, when no transactions have been made/rumored, just a paragraph or two of insight into anything cap-related.
